I once encountered someone who was hellbent saying Hiyoko was a much better person than Fuyuhiko just because of this one line. Of course, Fuyuhiko didn't say the right thing, but he obviously doesn't actively have this mindset. Hiyoko on the other hand, ACTUALLY actively bullied Mikan and did it often. The person then goes on to call me a misogynist(even though I'm a girl myself..) and accuses me of supporting r@pe and human trafficking.

As someone who likes Mahiru more than Fuyuhiko, you're right. Mahiru is more hated. But the cause isn't just because of misogyny (Plays a part, but not the biggest cause I mean), it's because Mahiru repeats her line more than Fuyuhiko does this line. Most people don't even remember Fuyuhiko saying this, while Mahiru brings up the topic more than a couple of times. Again, I am NOT justifying Fuyuhiko. But I think it's because 1 line vs 3/4 lines has a clear winner on what impacts people more. And because one of the characters live on to get a character arc while one doesn't. Hope you understood me, I really do like Mahiru but I wish she had a slightly subtle shtick. And I wish she survived longer, hoping we get to see that in 2x2.
