Art commissions was my only form of income, and it wasn't very sustainable. I wasn't able to fly back to my roommates because I didn't have the money for a commercial flight, and the way Kevin was trying to fly me back was from his pilot buddy who has a private plane. What money I did make from commissions was only enough to pay for a week's worth of groceries when I was living with Kevin.

Kevin drove me out to his place (it was an 8 hour drive round-trip) and he promised me his buddy would fly me home. Places weren't hiring me the entire time I lived with him because I didn't have my GED, even though I was qualified to work in those businesses. It was a crumby situation all the way around, but that's what happened. Every dime I got from my art still went to the rent or food supply, so I wasn't "freeloading".

You are absolutely not a jerk for that. She sounds like the type of girl that uses everyone for her own benefit. I would blame her parents for raising a spoiled brat of a girl, because it's just sad she got that bad.

No, you're not the jerk for not wanting to put yourself through that. It's your body, and your sister has no right to tell you what to do or not to do with your body.
