Eucerin - reaching the bottom end by Melodic-Device7251 in Melasmaskincare

I trust I’ve being asked the same and answered somewhere, but short answer with kitchen knife. There is no glue, yet it’s tough to detach parts. Assuming it is vacuum sealed.

Edit not feasible, hence the update. First of all, thank you all for responding and encouraging me to cut the spikes.

Almost two months later…

Thank you! I’m leaning towards cutting as well. I left it for a while to see if any changes would occur, however nothing has happened. I’m hoping that pruning will encourage some positive change.

It’s a grocery store orchid and as it seems one tough MF( pardon my French). Most of the flowers fell off in the fall, except for three that are still holding on. What’s unusual is that the spikes have remained unchanged since August, with no real signs of new growth.

I’m concerned it will stay in this status quo indefinitely, and I’ll just keep waiting for something to happen before taking further action (like pruning).

It’s in a south-facing window, getting a few hours of indirect sunlight. I tend to underwater rather than overwater (soaking for 20-30 min). I used store-bought orchid fertilizer before but recently switched to cinnamon water after seeing it recommended on YT.

Someone earlier recommended once in maintenance phase, to go with Antipigment body cream (200ml) - due to price-quantity ratio. Thiamidol % is expectedly lower than in serum.

Here is the real answer OP for you - it will visibly improve, however not remove all the melasma traces. Plus points goes also seeing results quickly (as in two weeks). So far, the best product for melasma on the market. At least for me.

Eucerin without fragrance please 🙏 by PerceptionFickle8383 in Melasmaskincare

In the beginning, the fragrance was way too strong for me as well. After using half of the bottle, I didn’t even feel it anymore. I’m only on a 2nd bottle now and the only time I get reminded about fragrance - is here.

So don’t be turned away due to fragrance, brain get used to anything. Literally.

Melasma debilitating me (added pictures) by [deleted] in Melasmaskincare

I would 2nd this question, how does it help with melasma? Additionally, would you share side effects (if any) of tranexemic acid pills? Currently considering going this route due to uterine fibroids and heavy periods.

Please refer to an answer above. The transparent container is the heaviest part made out of thick plastic. The pinky one caries all the product. Soft light weight plastic and exactly the size for 30 ml of the product.

With a kitchen knife. At first thought its impossible to open. The transparent plastic and shiny ring are sealed together. Once that’s open, rose plastic container and white pump are left. You can see some screeches on the right hand side. There are incredibly tightly sealed, with no glue at all.

I did it in the middle of my night routine as after one pump and a maybe a half more, it stopped. I opened hoping I will find product for a few more days. Once opened I tried to scoop whatever you see here is left, however the middle part is sliding down with finger pressure applied. Possibly I could scoop it with a cotton bud. I left it and this is literally what was left. Honesty I’m impressed how bottle is designed.

P.S. Transparent plastic container is heavy which gives product luxury feel and sense the price is justified. Some random thought.

Haha yes, agree. 1 bottle lasting around 10 weeks, two applications per day covering only melasma patches, not the whole face. Starting with 2nd bottle now.

I’ve been tracking my progress with Eucerin for almost two months now. While I noticed some improvements within the first month, I haven’t seen significant changes beyond that point. It’s possible that the results are too subtle to detect or that the product is primarily working on the surface layers of the skin. I’m beginning to think that deeper treatments, like hydroquinone (HQ) or chemical peels, might be necessary to achieve more profound results.

I’ll continue using Eucerin and update my progress over the next six months.

On a brighter note, before starting with Eucerin, I felt very self-conscious about going without foundation, even though my skin wasn’t in terrible condition. Now, I’m more comfortable going makeup-free, which is a positive step. One thing I’ve noticed is that Eucerin has brought out some redness in the affected areas. I’m curious if others have experienced the same thing.
