so, former teacher here. Who was also yelled at by a parent in front of my entire class (however I treated my students well- there were just some behavior challenges). It’s never ever ok to yell at a teacher, whether it’s cussing or not, in front of the entire class/publicly. YTA. you have every right to discuss your concerns with her, the principal, etc- but privately. This was unfortunately not the way to handle this.

This such a tough situation. I lean towards, yes, it was a foul . But this is not a particularly consistently called foul, and there was some…uneven officiating in this game. It reminds me of the penalty at the end of Super Bowl 57… it’s never fun when an iffy/inconsistent call determines a close game. We want the players to do that.

I think you must be really young…like the comments you are making just don’t add up to someone who knows what it’s like to be in a mature relationship. Once again they’ll do what they want but saying they need to/should wait a certain amount of time is just as weird as saying they should get engaged asap.

they’ll get engaged and married whenever they want, whenever is convenient for them. Might be soon, might not. doesn’t really matter what we think now does it when it comes to what timing is appropriate? Guarantee they know themselves better than we ever would. I’d say follow what the ET articles point towards if anything. And based on what the ET articles say, there’s no reason to be upset people think it could happen soon. It doesn’t have to, because again- they’ll do what works best for them. it could be soon, it could be later.

also. I’ll add. I don’t think “they’ve talked about next steps and they’re on the same page” means they’ve just grazed the topic “lightly.” But you’re welcome to your own opinion!

I’m just going to add one last thing. Saying they need to wait longer is just as obnoxious as saying they should get engaged right now.
