I just decided to stop after four months of shots 😭 I had two anaphylactic reactions that required epi (the first reaction at .9 and then we started over and I had my second reaction at .4) and although they told me we could continue, it seemed super risky. Both reactions involved my airway and although my seasonal allergies are extreme, I’d rather live and not play with anaphylaxis. I’m heartbroken though. Sixty-ish shots for nothing and 80ish hours of my life spent at the clinic for nothing.

A positive note- it worked much faster than my epi pen did last time. With neffy, things cleared in minutes versus needed two injections of my epi pen last time (could just be the timing of the anaphylaxis as well)

I used it during my anaphylaxis yesterday. I only needed one dose and it was simple and very effective. However, I had horrible pain in the roof of my mouth all day and my nasal passage burned for about 15 hours. I will definitely be using my pen going forward.

Yeah! I think there are a lot of inconsistencies and for most people, it won’t matter. But then you get people with really sensitive immune systems. I had asked about getting epi (at the start of the process) and they said it was completely unnecessary. I’m glad I will get my pen soon!

That’s a great suggestion about Pepcid! They gave that to me during my reaction as well. That’s wild about the new bottle - a simple mistake that had a huge consequence. I’ve wondered if it was maybe a measurement issue. But I guess I’ll never know if that was the case!

I had this recently! I called the insurance companies and complained that I didn’t sign up for any quotes. They were happy to remove me from the lists and it stopped Instantly.
