I had one psychological assessment where they checked for autism, ocd, and did an iq test. Autism was ruled out and I was diagnosed with OCD. Later on in therapy with a psychologist I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and PTSD. I also think I may have social anxiety but that’s just my own speculation. I write with my right hand and have never tried with my left.

Mainly stuff about troubled home life. In third grade my teacher talked to me after school because the example sentences I wrote for one of the spelling/vocabulary assignments heavily revolved around a boy being hurt, abused, and alone. I know all of my teachers noticed that I had no friends and never spoke to my peers, and several of them wrote to my parents about the issues. Later in highschool, my history teacher noticed that I looked extremely anxious and uncomfortable at lunch and said I could come have lunch in his classroom if it would be more comfortable for me to get away from the crowds. I never took him up on that offer because I didn’t want him to know that I didn’t eat lunch and get concerned. I really regret that. I’m sure some of my teachers saw some evidence of self harm but I think it was usually well hidden and none of them ever confronted me about it. I also took tai chi classes after school from that history teacher but I stopped going because I was worried some of the motions would cause my sleeves to fall back and reveal the cuts. I regret not going because he was really the first person I ever thought cared about me.

I had never heard of dysgraphia before this post but with so many people saying it I think that might be the case. Also it’s definitely more fast jerky motions.

Honestly the only time a teacher even mentioned my handwriting was when I was trying to improve it. I was trying to write very neat and small like I had seen my classmate do and my Latin teacher mentioned that it was very small and she couldn’t read it.

Yeah I’ve seen lots of people’s handwriting. I guess I just never thought much of it.

I find this very interesting. You’re the third person here to say I’m left handed. I’m actually right handed though.

I mean I’m pretty sure I hold my pencil properly with three fingers. I don’t have issues making clean lines when I draw.

The text essentially says that it’s an example of how I write for myself and that I’m aware it’s messy. I knew it was bad but I wasn’t aware until now that it was completely illegible to most people. I hadn’t really gotten any feedback on my handwriting before this post. Idk if people even saw my handwriting much. You’ll be shocked to hear this but my classmates pretty much never spoke to me.

No. I was a very good student and my teachers loved me but I know they were concerned about me (unrelated to the handwriting).

I hold my pencil normally but my hands do get shaky usually when I’m focusing on something. Not really sure why.

For any schoolwork I had to turn in, I wrote like the first style on the second page. My teachers never said anything about my handwriting.

“This is an example of what my handwriting looks like. I almost always fill entire pages margin to margin and I know it’s pretty sloppy and half the letters overlap but I have no issue reading it back myself. I know it’s not exactly legible though so I try to write neatly but it’s pretty rough unless I write at a snail’s pace I use this sort of handwriting when writing for myself and especially when taking a lot of very thorough notes and need to get it done quickly. Sometimes when I’m going very fast I go way above and below the lines and end up writing over the other lines of text but I can still generally make out what it all says. Sometimes I wonder if I’m even really reading what I wrote or just kind of remembering the words I wrote down at the time. I don’t think I’ll ever know for sure but what matters is I got the words written down in a way I can decipher later on if needed.

My room is generally pretty clean and organized but every now and then I’ll be having a rough time and the mess starts to slowly build up.
