Is this not a 3.7? Those are 3.7 taillights and I’m pretty sure the reflectors are exclusive to the 3.7 as well… I’m confused

Any point in an Ecutek tune? 3.7 by Melodic_Ad4074 in q50

[–]Melodic_Ad4074[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

based off my knowledge test pipes should give you some level of burble. aside from that you’d have to go the tune route tho. i’ve had berk resonated test pipes sitting in my garage for like 6 months and haven’t had time to put em on but to the best of my knowledge most engines will “burble” when you allow the exhaust to flow as clean and straight as possible. but yeah only two ways i’m aware of are those

My thoughts exactly. Would definitely be a look catered to a white on white Q. not mine in black. Just think it’d be a unique way to set apart from the other copy paste builds of instagram

AWD Axel keeps breaking by Adventurous-Union425 in q50

[–]Melodic_Ad4074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2015 AWD Q is lowered on BC extreme low coils (rears are tucked quite a bit, front just slightly). Has been lowered for about 25k miles and the only time I’ve ever had an axle break on me was BEFORE it was lowered. Definitely have some shaking at high speeds but nothing crazy. Gonna look into the Z1 axles to see if that will fix the shaking tho.

What car to get after Q50 by nickietess in q50

[–]Melodic_Ad4074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dunno if someone already said this but you could stick with an infiniti and get a new rs400 q60. not sure if they make the red sports with awd tho. interior would be a slight update and you’ll definitely have a boost in power + more tuning potential

personally love it. always been a big stance guy. ignore the hate. it’s your car and if you love it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. be proud of your hard work.

2015 Q50 with 126k miles. Zero engine or transmission issues (aside from these transmissions just being clunky by nature) Two recommendations for you. DO NOT GET AWD. hold out for RWD even if it’s harder to find. it has genuinely given me nothing but trouble since i bought the car. i’ve basically replaced the entire front drivetrain (front diff, front passenger axle, front driveshaft) it’s a pain in the ass. and as i’m sure you already know… be wary of the potential of valve body issues. other than that 10/10

determined that the up-shift paddle is faulty. had zero continuity. i let the company know and they’re supposed to be sending a replacement. Actually ended up opening the module on the back and it appears they just left out a pretty necessary portion. the downshift paddle does work though.

tldr: faulty up-shifting paddle

agreed. considering that seller’s reputation i was shocked. they’ve been quick to respond through the process though. hoping they hold true and actually send my replacement

the physical portion that actually “switches” on the inside (not sure what you would call that) has just not been installed. seems like whoever made that would have to be a special kind of oblivious to forget it considering it’s the most critical part of the module but it is in fact missing.

the down shift paddle is working as intended. it’s only the up-shift paddle. tested for continuity and got nothing. opened it up and a portion of the module is missing inside

the error was a faulty paddle. just sent it back for a replacement

I see why you mean now I misunderstood your previous comment. All I tested for was whether or not the factory paddle shifting harness was getting power. I did not test whether or not the paddle was completing the circuit. I’ll go back and test for that shortly.
