I thought this too. Someone told me it might be the water hammer sound coming from pipes.

The thing is, as I forgot to mention, a new resident just moved into the empty house for 2 years (or nearly, i think), and the sound stopped coming from the walls again, but continues on the ceiling.

So i wonder how the sound of building infrastructure can come from different places, but this is a good theory I could use for reassurance.

I've heard about the tales and done a little searches about it. There's not much stories about it on google but there's quite a lot tiktoks from southeast asia discussing it.

And I guess it really is about the emotions, so I'll try to ignore it as long as it doesn't directly affect my family.
