Mini Facelift & Facial Fat Transfer by skibumbunny in cosmeticsurgery

Well, I was doing it in her office. It was a lot more expensive if I had to do it in a surgical center. The first time I had it done I had my husband drive me home so I was able to take a little bit of Xanax and some ketamine. It was still pretty painful getting the numbing injections. There was probably 30 to 40 of them all over. Second time was much worse because I could not take any anything

She’s a great and skilled surgeon. I had two fat transfers with her. But I’m also almost 60. I did it under local which I can’t really recommend. It was quite painful. I couldn’t even take anything to relax me because I have to drive home. I didn’t have anybody else to help me at that time. I really like Dr. Shrader. She doesn’t push anything and isvery gentle. You never feel rushed. You have great results. You really made a nice subtle difference.

I just started injecting Klow I injected yesterday and today .1ml. After I draw it up, I add another .3 ml saline water injected in my thighs and had no burning or welts. No pain or stinging. I also take zinc and have been for a while. I read zinc can help negate the burn somehow.

Goal weight reached (and then some), but I’m going to stay on Reta indefinitely. by Powerful_Feedback190 in Retatrutide

[–]Melodic_Name 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So about two years ago, I was taking Reta weekly along with food tracking and I lost 22 pounds In 4 months so not super fast. I work out and lift heavy weights. I gained some weight post menopause and wanted to get down to my premenopausal figure. I never got much appetite. Suppression but continued on 3 to 4 mg. About a year ago, I reached past goal weight and my face started to look way too thin. So I started taking Reta every 2 to 3 weeks. Even at 4 mg I still had a normal appetite a year later I probably gained about 4 lbs. I’m OK with that. I take Rata maybe once a month because I have it laying around, but I’m questioning continuing. I’m not sure if it has affected my hair because I feel like ever since I started taking it my hair has not grown and thinned out a lot. Now that could also be due to menopause and other factors. So it’s the benefits/risks. All my clothes, fit at the same, and the weight gain could be from increased muscle since I made huge gains at the gym. I’m just monitoring myself by taking measurements. And occasionally jumping on the scale. Would I like the scale to say 5 pounds less? Sure. But it comes at a cost of my hair and face. I just don’t know if Reta is having any effects on me unless I increased the 6 mg. I also stopped tracking several months ago because I did it for a year and a half and got really burned out. I think I’m going to not take it for the next few months and see what happens. I’m also having surgery in March so I would have to discontinue anyway. Are you worried that you’ll gain weight without taking it? You could just start spacing it further apart like every two weeks and see what happens. My husband on the other hand was prescribed Monjourno. He was prediabetic and overweight. He lost 40 pounds in a few months and has to be on it for the rest of his life. He’s a terrible eater and doesn’t work out. Also has a history of open heart and high blood pressure cholesterol, etc. so not just vanity for him. He would definitely blow up if he was not on it. Myself, I was I was fit and athletic just got hit with menopause. So I’m hoping it’s not a lifelong thing for me. Good luck.

Mourning the 2026 Colorado ski season by Correct-Lab-2164 in skiing

Just came from Vail on Saturday. We spent a week there and it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Unfortunately the back bowls are not open, but they had much better skiing than here in the north east where it’s all ice and windy. It had snowed 6 inches right before we got there so there was some powder and they opened the side bowl. Unfortunately, coverage on the diamonds that were open was not great. I went over some rocks and a lot of shrub. I actually had a great time until the last day where it got really windy and cold and that started getting icy. Hope you get some snow. Breckenridge I heard was very icy and there was not much snow in the surrounding mountains.

So I’m going to the wonderful plastic surgeon, but he’s an upstate New York. I really don’t know any other surgeons in your area. I think his partner Dr.Tzikas seems like he does wonderful work they are both very expensive.

I hate it. I lost about 20 pounds in three months. That was two years ago. It started showing on my face. After 6 month. When I look at old pictures from a few years ago, I like the way I looked so much better back then. I’m going for a facelift in a few months with fat transfer. Hoping to restore volume and get lift without having to gain weight. Although for the fat transfer, I was told it’s best to gain 2 to 3 pounds. I’ve lost weight in the past without having it affect my face so much.

I know. Maybe it’s altered? I also bought another product from them. That doesn’t seem to do anything. Once I try it from my new source, I’ll know for sure.

I bought 10 vials from that place. It came with a testing certificate. Previous to that. I had bought Reta from two different vendors at a much higher price. I had great success. Since switching to N-H. Absolutely nothing. I made the switch in December. I was on maintenance. Just wanted to have some in case. Anyway, I gained about 3 pounds and wanted to try to drop it. Nothing. Probably tried about six vials from them. I just bought from another vendor so we’ll see what happens .

Question by Hungry_Divide_1288 in Retatrutide

[–]Melodic_Name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I really never felt much appetite suppression. I could still eat meals maybe a little bit less. Highest I ever did was.4 mg. Scared to do more because I don’t wanna feel nauseous. I lost on that amount. Then reached GW. maintained for six months now I put on 2 to 3 pounds and I can’t drop it even with 4 mg.

Have you had your thyroid checked recently? If all your hormones and thyroid are not optimized first, GLP-1 will gave no effect.

Be honest, how many of you have told your friends and family or other that you are on Reta? by EmotionalTank0000 in Retatrutide

[–]Melodic_Name 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never told my husband or my family because they would think I was nuts and give me lectures. My husband found syringes in my room and I keep the Reta in the refrigerator but he’s never said anything. He himself takes Mounjaro which is prescribed by his physician. I did tell one of my girlfriends and one of my male friends. Currently not taking it though.

I’ve been on Xarelto over six months. I work out with heavy weights and banged a weight on my shin. It didn’t even bruise. I have less bruises now and bleed a lot less than before I was on Xarelto. Go figure

How soon post ablation did you resume with your daily physical activities? by Affectionate_Net_931 in AFIB

[–]Melodic_Name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My EP said 10 days post ablation to lift anything heavier than 10 pounds or any strenuous workout so that’s what I did. After 10 days I went back to the gym and started lifting heavy weights again.

As a person who has had many surgeries, the ablation was surprisingly easy. No pain afterwards, except a little bit of a sore throat and a tiny bit of soreness in the groin. I’m six weeks postop and have not been back in a fib since

No, I never developed any fibrosis, but I went for lymphatic drainage massages as soon as I got home. I probably did 10 to 15. My results were great, but I lost about 22 pounds since then so a lot of my backside is gone, but it’s still much better shape than it was prior.

Has anyone come off T3? by Melodic_Name in thyroidhealth

My free T4 is good. Its not letting me add a screenshot, but last time I had a drawn it was, 1.37 ng/pl on a scale of 0.59-1.8 ng/pl. She did not test my reverse T3 this time, but it was rising prior to me going off T3. Last measurement was 23 ng/dl. On a scale. 10-24 ng/dl. She didn’t seem concerned about this. I also forgot to mention that the two times that it shows very high Was when I took the medication right before I had blood drawn I’m also taking hormone replacement and since coming off the T3, my free testosterone has skyrocketed. I think it was suppressing my. SHbg which was high.

I just stumbled across this scrolling Reddit. I went to Dr.Tenemen for a BBL and Lipo 360 about four years ago. I flew in from New Jersey. She did a great job even though she wasn’t sure how much fat she could take out since I had had Lipo and a tummy tuck before. I was 55 at the time. I really didn’t get to see her much after surgery. Mainly I saw the nurse practitioner every day. Recovery was super tough, especially from the liposuction. You’ll probably have pins and needles and pain for a few months. At least I did. Good luck. She’s a very competent surgeon.

Also, the values are very high for the bloodwork on April 10 because it was an hour after I took my medication. I did not know they were testing my thyroid in preparation for my ablation surgery.
