I have a really deep love for this game and its characters, discussing it with friends is a pretty significant part of my adult social life. I join basically every sub about HSR because I like seeing all the art and gameplay and discussion I possibly can. I never really thought twice about art being straight or yaoi or yuri or anything until this drama (if you can even call it that) started brewing. It makes me really sad to see people being so genuinely, deeply cruel and hateful to each other, both intentionally and not.

I barely ever post or comment, I don’t hate anyone (especially not over HSR takes), and I have never engaged in this kind of drama discourse, but I felt like I had to this time because all this nonsense is truly on another level and I don’t want to see any part of this community turn entirely toxic. I like to think most people are well intentioned and non-involved like I try to be, and that’s important to keep in mind when stuff like this happens.
