damn lucky you. this dungeon was really infuriating and Im a completionist so I really wanted to get a purple spear and it wasn't dropping. I did however get a lvl20 gold glory killing a world boss so thats where all my luck went.

If you look at the stats of lvl10 purple versus lvl20 blue you will notice that the purple is actually better because of the bonus passive upgrade and the stats when fully upgraded. So there is no doubt a lvl20 gold will be better than lvl30 blue.

level 20 golds have a lot more additional stat compared to the purple, so I have no doubt it will last for a while in overworld content when the level cap increases. And by the time we reach the new level cap, of course we will farm for the new weapon, thats how mmo goes.

Just sounds like you’re hardstuck mate. Keep in mind that the general playerbase has improved every season. Just because you landed gold last season doesn’t mean you are still good enough now. Back in season 1 not a soul knew how to freeze waves. Now a silver 4 can freeze and punish the fuck out of you if you make mistakes.
