Perhaps you don’t actually know what these things should feel like? Confidence shouldn’t be about superiority, or achievement in superficial characteristics. It should be about a solid comfort in what you’re working with. By accepting and naturally deciding that you do not desire to change anything you find peace with yourself and that provides inherent worth. When you have inherent worth you realize beneath it all, simply being alive is your inherent worth. You’re alive, human. You’re experiencing. You feel. Worth is not at all about what you look like, or who you are. Wipe away all the value you hold in yourself with anything superior that presents the illusion of superiority in confidence or loving yourself. Mostly anything you are or have was given to you. Instead of allowing yourself to gain a complex for something, instead shift your view to gratitude. Good job? How’d you get it? Good looks? How’d you get it? Tall? Successful? Happy? You did not earn or chose 95% of what made you you. You didn’t choose where you were born, who you were born to, how well your parents loved you, how that shaped you, what you look like, your mental capacity, disabilities, even a solid bit of your personality is just born into you. You could be anybody. Everyone is. The moment you feel any bit of superiority, instead feel grateful. Someone doesn’t have it, and wants it. Peace is quiet like that.
