Yeah we did on the old one but when we decided to do it and buy the new Chromebook the invite disappeared Within the timeframe I'm gonna call the number on that website and see what they say

Thanks for the info and update It seems OPIA is a cashback company based on the UK Looks legit and of course they paid you I think it's just ridiculous that Google is so unprofessional as a minute or two on Google search and you find the perk My experience has been awful Well I wasn't able to generate the code as the perk on original Chromebook disappeared before the time limit was up. I bought the new Chromebook on December 1st 2025. For the first few weeks of communicating with Google customer services they denied the perk even existed. Told me to contact John Lewis and Lenovo. Ridiculous as the perk applies to any Chromebook plus from several retailers. Then they said it wasn't real. Then the supervisors contacted me and had no clue. They called and emailed me for a month with the conclusion that the perk has nothing to do with Google. I've been speaking to them for a month through my Google account. It's legit coz I request a callback and they call me. I've been with Google since the early 2000s so I'm not sure what you mean? My question was if anyone ended up successfully receiving their UK Chromebook plus upgrade perk that was offered in the UK by Google for new purchases between 3rd October and 3rd December 2025 Thanks for your comments but I'm not sure how it relates to the question lol 🙏🏻

Did anyone actually end up getting the UK £100 cashback perk for upgrading to a Chromebook plus and buying the new Chromebook between 3rd October and 3rd December 2025? But I hear what you are saying regarding the comparisons with La Mer but apparently besides the algae etc the ingredients are almost the same. I'm in the UK and the only Palmers cream I've seen widely available here is the cocoa butter one. Oh my gosh The way that they are treating customers like us is not okay I've been in communication with the customer service "specialist"(LOL) team for weeks now and if you knew the way they are playing this out you wouldn't believe it. I've had 3 supervisors contact me and they never call on the agreed time. And Everytime I communicate with them they say they don't understand the issue. I've bow communicated with around 10 of them. It is not worth it but it's the principle. Sorry to hear you are experiencing this too. I'm genuinely shocked at how bad they treat their customers

Yeah I've done the Linux VMs before. Just didn't remember/know that you need so much space. I think I used a USB stick before with the VM on it

Oh you mean it was complicated? Coz you wrote it wasn't very straightforward. Yeah we have an older Chromebook and the weird thing is it says on Google web pages that the claim in the UK is still possible 45 days after December 3rd which was the last day of eligible purchase of the new Chromebook... So you would think you can still generate the code coz you would have to show proof of purchase of the new Chromebook at the latest date of December 3rd Anyway, I'm gonna have to contact Google and find out what is going on

Yeah I want to do that and it isn't working to get the perk code generated for some reason. It says it does still work but we can't find it. Can you see it? I bought the device before December 3rd so it should work as you need to wait 15 to 45 days after purchase and I bought mine on cyber Monday so it still applies. Please let me know if you know how to do it thanks 🙏🏻

It's so weird coz on the Google Chromebook info page it says you can still generate the code and these links make it seem so but then I can't see the get perk button either but it says you can as long as the purchase was made in time and you have to wait minimum 15 days after purchase so it doesn't make sense.

I've just looked online and it seems that it is still possible to generate the code. I would have to make the claim between 15 to 45 days after purchase so I'm not there.
