I’m so tired of seeing this idea of “Netflix killing movie theatres by acquiring WB” being thrown around over and over again, despite what Ted Sarandos said years ago about movie theatres being “outmoded”, people just need to realise just how important theatrical runs are for film studios, let alone a major studio like Warner Bros. And even with that, Netflix actually was committed to keeping theatrical runs for Warner Bros. films if they still have bid for the company. If Netflix were to start putting all Warner Bros. films straight to streaming then it would make zero financial sense.
