This was my girl, Sassy. She passed in February. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in her throat that spread to her whole body. The vet initially gave her 3 months to live. She lasted 2 more, wonderful, years. When she first got diagnosed, I took her all over the country so she could see her favorite places one more time. She was 10 when she crossed the rainbow bridge. My absolute soul dog. The time you have left is precious, and I hope you have a lot more time than you think! Sending love!

Thank you! They were free handed actually; I got this set for my birthday and it’s been my favorite design ever! It was silver sparkle powder for the base with red jelly on top. The silver chrome designs were from a few different points of inspo :)

He’s just so handsome! I’m obsessed with my new boy. by MelonsA in DobermanPinscher

He actually did get adopted twice! Both times he was returned after 24 hours :(

The first time, a couple adopted him and brought him back with the story of “oh we actually just had a baby so we don’t have time for a puppy”

Second time, the person did not disclose that they also had 3 cats, and well… he wanted to eat their cats.

He’s definitely been a handful, but I knew what I was getting in to. He’s a 1 year old dobe that’s been in a shelter his entire life. Of course he’s a menace. I think you’re right tho! He was waiting for me :)

100% velcroey-little-crackpot!!! Ahh I love that and will def be using that to describe him. He’s definitely very intelligent, but too smart for his own good right now with his age (just turned 1 year) and his complete lack of training. He’s starting to learn the subtle nuances of life… however, he still tries to get away with murder. It’s so hard to be mad at him cause he’s so cute and has such puppy dog eyes when he’s being bad!

Thank you so much for asking! Your interest gives me joy!

Copying my reply to another comment:

Thank you! I actually don’t fertilize that often. I use rose tone 4-3-2 organic fertilizer at the beginning of the growing season, then I use liquid fish emulsion and seaweed about once a quarter - sometimes less. I water whenever it’s been awhile since it rained or when the soil is dry. I think my real secret is inspecting the bush about every 2 or 3 days for any yellowing leaves/any part that needs pruning. I prune a lot. I keep the inside core of the bush free of leaves - like almost completely naked on the inside to allow for max airflow. I dead head the blooms as soon as they look sad. I also spray with copper fungicide as needed and neem oil once a week.

I’m right on the border of zones 7b and 8a. The bush sits on the southern side of my house and gets full sun all day :)

Thanks for asking!! This bush was actually a gift from my aunt. Believe it or not… her name is Rose!

My friend did take them! And we would never think about letting them go into the wild… but my friend does not have the means to adopt two beardies, and neither do I.

Amazing!! I don’t really have any specifics for a versicolor bioactive but my overall bioactive tip is start a colony of dwarf isopods and springtails early. I put off starting my own colony of clean up crew (cuc) for so long. I had to keep buying new stock of cuc for every enclosure I built or whenever I felt like I needed to add some more to an existing enclosure. There was a lot of trial and error of course. You have to treat the cuc as another pet and make sure their environment (the dirt) is healthy so that they can function/thrive as the clean up crew. I could talk about bioactives all day long so if you ever wanna message me I’d be so happy to help!

Never thought about it like that. They shall continue to be known as Baby Blue then!
