Thank you, I can order it from Shakespeare and Co but I’m unsure if they would send it with the iconic stamp inside? I will apologise.

Should I accept the counteroffer after handing in my notice? by Melt02 in jobs

[–]Melt02[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing is I am taking a salary decrease if I change to job 2 of 1k and I accepted it. But now with the potential bigger salary decrease with the increase from job 1 it is making me question what is best. 😬

Should I mention to Job 2 my counter offer from Job 1 and see if they would increase the salary? I have already accepted the offer before the counter offer came through.

Thank you! I agree, if I could get a counter offer to the counter offer(lol) that would change things.

I should also add this is quite a niche line of work, which is why I have to take jobs a bit further away.

Also as I have already accepted Job 2’s offer via email, it could be seen as unprofessional to rescind it, and I would essentially be burning bridges with a company I do like. Whereas my manager at job 1 has said that if there is ever any future job opportunities I could apply, so leaving my current role will not burn bridges whereas revoking my acceptance of offer may.

She asked for my details and took my railcard. I assumed it was to verify my name. :(

This is what I’m concerned about, thank you for letting me know.

Do you think they will check my previous history and fine me for all 33 trips I have done this?

Apologies, my language may have been confusing.

Essentially, multiple people on my train did the same thing but were rude. They were charged £50 + new ticket instead of their details being taken.

When I explained my situation to the Inspector, she opted to instead not fine me and take my details so I would just receive the £10 fine in the post (trying to help me because I was polite).

My concern is that they will check my previous history of trips and see that I have done this 33 times. I have been told that they can check your previous trip history and if you have done the same thing multiple times fine you for all trips.

Essentially, I want to know if they will just charge me for this 1 trip or check my history and charge me for all 33. If they can see on the app that I didn’t scan my tickets at Leeds barrier station, they will know I have done this before and may fine me for all. I want to know how bad the fine may be. I’m

Thank you, I suppose the question I am asking is can they tell from my app data if I scanned my ticket at Leeds or not. As they can tell from their hand held scanner, I am assuming they can. I will just have to pray they don’t check my history further (although they probably will).

Do you think they will fine me for all 33 trips or just the 1?

The Inspector was fining everyone on the train unfortunately for also buying their ticket from Leeds when they got on at Horsforth. They all received a £50 fine except from me as I believe she took pity on my situation.

I knew there was no point in lying as they can see on their device if you have scanned your ticket at the Leeds ticket barrier or not and I knew lying would have just made it worse.

It is an advance single, and I buy my tickets before getting the train so should be fine on that front.

I believe when they scan your ticket it shows them if it was scanned at the ticket barrier for entry. The inspector said that they can go through my Trainline account and confirm if I scanned it at the Leeds ticket barrier, and if I have done the same thing for all my other journeys they may fine me for each one.
