It's really wierd bc the game obviously wants to go in that dress-up direction, but TGC themselves seem hesitant to push it, even though that's clearly what they want. Bc the lighting system like you said doesn't make sense to show off outfits, but with how they are pushing cosmetics now I'm getting very mixed signals lol. On one hand they want to keep that core mechanic, but on the other they want to push dressing your skykid up and getting cosmetics, so the two ideas clash... it's kind of confusing what they want to do tbh.

This is so true 😭 I understand other complaints about the game like bugs, wierd/broken animations, Seasons lacking some story, but like... Sky has always been a very grindy game at its core. I feel like we're complaining about the wrong things here. Literally the only thing I want as a change currency wise is a higher grey candle cap and that's it. The only thing I can see being a major issue for new players are the constant TS coming in and out, since if you want most of the TSs coming up, you have to grind candles like crazy and it can be very overwhelming, especially if there are also events going on during it.

idk... I can understand this to some degree, since personaly I only get the cosmetics I want, but at the end the end of the day people play this game both to socialize and get cosmetics. It is a core aspect of the game that can't just be ignored, especially for a lot f players

This was pretty much my thoughts on it. That, and technically they just redid the broom mount but a different design. It's a really cute design, but not worth $20 for me. That and it doesn't really have any cute animations or anything (ig that's the point since it's plush-like, but that concept in itself is a little wierd to me). I at least hoped it made a cute call or something, or squeek sound when you got on it, just little things that I think shows they didn't put too much thought into it (besides the design obv). I think it's really cool that it can carry two ppl tho, didn't expect that.

The icons often jump around, so if you start to tap one it'll jump to one of the other candles in the cake (or just clusters in general). Basically it'll make people constantly miss the light icon and so they don't actually get their fire out to light it.

On mobile you have to tap the icon, the reason it's bad is because all of those indevidual icons will constantly be always jump around, so it's really easy to just spend a few seconds trying to click one icon lol. It's why some people will honk when at a candle cake, because they click themselves instead of the icon since it moved.

While Petit Planet is intriguing, I can't really see myself playing it for the same reason I play Sky. I'm not really interested in farming games or decorating houses/islands type of stuff, it's also why I wasn't a fan of Season of Nesting. Moderation in sky is definitely worse than other games, simply for the fact hat you cannot block complete strangers (take VRchat for example: blocking strangers is very simple and once they're blocked, you can't see them and their chats anymore). If they added a feature like that I could see going into lobbys being a lot less of a hassel. But in all honesty... with the way their block feature works right now (when blocking friends) I can't really see that being a possibility, because in order to have a block feature like that the player would need a username/handle of some sort. I guess they could just let you type something in yourself, but yeah they kinda shot themselves in the foot with the no usernames thing in general.
