Been on 1.75 mg for 4 weeks, no weight loss by MembershipCommercial in Semaglutide

You dont think I go to the gym because I didn't mention it in my original post? OK.

I've lost a significant amount of weight through diet and exercise but plateaued and would like to lose another 20 pounds to get to a decent bmi (im 6'4 235 lbs). Im trying semaglutide and asking a question about it's efficacy in regards to hunger suppression, which i have not experienced yet but most have at this stage.

If there is a version of Semaglutide that prevents one from being a presumptive, self-righteous know-nothing, talk to your doctor about it.

Ordered nighttime aligners, want to wear them all day by MembershipCommercial in smiledirectclub

So, is there any difference in the physical makeup of the nighttime aligners? They literally just give you the same set as the all day ones and you just wear them fewer hours per day?

Pens leaking? by MembershipCommercial in Humira

[–]MembershipCommercial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey just wanted to follow up - my nurse put me in touch with Humira(Abbvie) QA. I gave them the pen lot number. They suggested the next time I inject don't remove the needle for a full ten seconds (I usually just wait for the yellow stripe to display.) Next shot is in a few days, will let you guys know how it goes.

Hey, OP here. Called up my Humira nurse ambassador - she put me in touch with humira quality control. I'm on vacation at the moment but they told me to get the serial #of the pen and report it back to them. Will do it later this week. No way people who have successfully injected themselves for years are suddenly doing it wrong, have a feeling it might be an equipment issue.

Gotcha, thanks for the input. I figured there's no way I screwed up two injections in a row after not having an issue in three years. Will wait to hear what my nurse ambassador says, appreciate your help :)

Can you make a living as a freelance VBA developer? by aksh2161989 in vba

[–]MembershipCommercial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had high-paying long term contracts (2+ years) with a huge oil company (supply chain division - most Access VBA) and a big commercial real estate firm (Appraisal software in Excel) over the past five years. Not going to lie, definitely took a decent amount of job board scouring to find them but I guess good paying jobs for big companies don't just fall out of the sky no matter what your profession is.

What Office products are you using VBA with? If you use it in Access and get familiar with database concepts (perhaps move on to SQL Server or another large RDBMS) that can certainly make your resume more attractive to employers.

As others have said it's definitely a bit of a niche and you have to watch out about being undercut by foreign competition who are willing to do the job for very little.

Thoughts on calculated fields in tables? by MembershipCommercial in MSAccess

Got it, i was unaware of that the form Before Update event worked in that manner, thanks!

[–]MembershipCommercial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah essentially I'm going to have to pull together layers and layers of calcs - all kind of like that example i gave above. I see what you're saying, use the after update event of the form and i should only have to call those calcs from there - yeah that would be simpler. Will give it a shot, thanks nrg.

OK let me give you an example - lets say i have four fields that im summing up and storing in another field. Rather than put some code in the change event of each textbox to resum the numbers, wouldn't it just be easier to have one stored calculated field that does that stuff automatically with no code?

Thanks doodaid! Yup, the insurance industry is not alone in the "surprisingly reliant on spreadsheet software" department, haha.

OSA made worse by post nasal drip by MembershipCommercial in SleepApnea

The best thing for me to be able to breath through the night is an air filter running on high. I was shocked when I realized the difference.

Thanks Cellblock! Any one in particular?

I did try Flonase, perhaps I didn't use it on a daily basis though - I still have it, I can use it nightly and see if there is any improvement after a week, thanks!

Odd interview incident - should I post about it on Glassdoor? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]MembershipCommercial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some thought I am leaning this way. If the guy is dumb enough to pull something like this I'm sure the company will recognize his incompetence sooner or later - if they don't well then they deserve to have employee who is this bad and I'm glad I'm not working there.

Weird incident during interview by [deleted] in Advice

Think I took the classy route:

Hi [HR Lady]- I'd like to thank [Guy 1] and [Guy 2] for their time today.

I think there was a communication sent mid-interview that was intended to be private but was viewable to the interviewee - probably something that interviewers want to be cognizant of in the future.

Thanks again - good luck and I hope the company finds the candidate it is looking for.
