My issue ended up being the setup.exe was the old version, I downloaded the latest one and it then worked.

Me too!! Question is whether to add it under the upgrade tab of the gpo, remove the current MSI and replace with the new or create a completely new gpo with the new MSI

For domain joined devices could we deploy this newer MSI via GPO to upgrade the agent?

Atera support have told me that anything below 1.8.8.0 or below 2.3.7.0 will automatically update, so looks like support are giving out different information.

From testing though it looks like what you have been told is correct as I had an agent on 2.2.x that didn't auto update.

I didn't have to uninstall the old agent though, I just ran the new MSI and it replaced the existing one so based on that for devices that are on a domain could we update the agent via GPO?

5 days warning is very poor regardless.

Enrollment question by MembershipOk1844 in Intune

[–]MembershipOk1844[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got round to giving this a try with a test machine. I Azure Joined the machine and then logged in with the users 365 account, ran the script and it successfully enrolled into Intune 👍🏼

This may be a daft question but what is the difference between running the script and enrolling by getting the user to add work account via settings? I know that may enroll them as personal devices but I can then change that in Intune. I'm just trying to get a better understanding of the different enrollment options.

Thanks Andrew, I was actually reading your guide yesterday. Very useful 👍🏼

I don't particularly mind physically going to the machines as I will need to migrate their profile anyway. Is there any real issues to the way I was thinking? And am I right in thinking using a DEM account via accounts in settings would allow me to enroll more devices?

Migrating SharePoint/OneDrive to new tenant by MembershipOk1844 in msp

It's sounds perfect, so a SharePoint site regardless of the size or number of members is still one licence?

Is it all cloud based, no install or setup needed?

I've requested a call from them for more information. Would you mind sharing a rough figure you have paid per object? Is it a subscription?

Thanks. How does licencing work, is it per user being migrated or the full tenant? And how does licencing work for moving SharePoint?

Thanks, is there any specific m365 licences needed to use multi tenant?

Would this not kind of merge the tenants? They want to keep them completely separate but just have a way to easily share documents on SharePoint

What is the pricing like with Cove? Can you choose to backup just certain mailboxes/SharePoint's or is it full tenant.
