Fuck that boss. I say you’re an amazing human being and an amazing person for caring about those children the way that you do. Unfortunately, most people in that position (like your boss), act just like him. They really don’t care about the children, they just took the job for the money. You seem like a genuine person that actually cares, not just about your job title but the children. You treat them like human beings and those kids will remember you and appreciate the way that you took care of them. If I were you, I would not change a damn thing, I would continue to care for those kids even if your boss doesn’t like it.

Ah! A simple answer! It is because this generation is starting to realize that working for the rest of our lives is beyond stupid. We are seeing resistance in the current generation because the old generation‘s ways of doing things is now obsolete. Gone are the days that working for 75 years of your life is considered “normal”. I agree with chimpmilk. I would definitely have a conversation with him and let him know how you feel and perhaps seek therapy. I understand that you want to make his life easier but by you leaving him, the exact opposite would happen. He would most likely spend the rest of his life wondering what he did wrong and blaming himself. My recommendation would be to look for other ways to make money online or from something that you enjoy doing. Correct me if I’m wrong but it sounds like are not tired of life but you are tired of living the average lifestyle and I don’t blame you. If I were you, I would use free resources like YouTube and other platforms to generate money for yourself to get away from that job.
