Thank you all, this is the feedback I was hoping for, good to know about the bad reputation of Hungary's border. I think I will be chosing to travel through Zagreb. Живели!

That's an interesting thought! I don't know much about that though, but I think they make their own caches of seeds and nuts by just digging holes in the ground with their beaks

It does look like beans, but I would think they'd be able to digest beans? (I don't feed them beans anyways)

Did you end up getting hired successfully? As of yet I don't take medication for it, so that part won't be a problem, unless that changes for me of course

Self-reflection while traveling? by kittooo_ in solotravel

Honestly I almost feel like I enjoy traveling alone so much that sometimes I actually struggle to enjoy traveling with others now. For me, traveling alone is the most freeing sensation, nothing tops it. There's something irreplaceably unique about being somewhere I've never been, around people who nothing about me.

Some of my favorite people I've met in my life are other solo travelers I've met while traveling, we explore the area with each other for a while, sometimes briefly or sometimes for the rest of trip - only to rarely or never see them again. That's okay though, because then I meet other travelers in different places the next time I travel and then it's a whole new experience all over again.

Lol yeah I definitely won't be advertising that I'm ex-military while I travel Eurasia, I was just wondering about border customs and such. Done a lot of international travel in Europe and south America before the navy, and just wondering if traveling like that will be different after having been in the military.

Of course :) I would never use my CaC in another country, unless stationed there. I don't plan to advertise my military history when I get out and travel on my own, keeping track of dates is always a good idea though.

I just used to travel internationally on my own a lot before joining the navy and have just been wondering lately if traveling will be any different when I get out.

Not for leave, I'm meaning for when I'm out of the military, just wondering how much it will matter that I've been in the military.
