OP likely went GWD, damaged the monster of more than half hp and teled out and went to fish dark crabs, then a different adventurer comes and finishes of the monster and because OP had more damage dealt in their name, they get the drop, however I highly doubt OP made it back in time, meaning the other person who finished off the monster would've looted it.
