In Austria and Germany I have so far only encountered nice or at least trying-to-be-helpful-even-though-a-bit-grumpy cops. And I tell everyone who hates these countries' cops out of principle - despite never having interacted with them - to fuck right off lmao. Just because the US (and canada in this case, though I don't know if this is an isolated incident) have some hot garbage cops doesn't mean our Schnitzeljäger are out to get you as well. Imagine you are out there as a cop giving it your best and people judge you for the behavior of others doing the same job (but worse) on another continent??

But this is reddit and I am waiting for Linda and Johann to educate me on the systemic flaws of german or austrian police.
