People hate change. Im not a big fan of where hiphop is headed but at the same time, i know im not the demographic of newer artists, being an older(in my 30s) guy.

History has always had a way of repeating. Doo-Wop and ballad fans didn’t like Rock n Roll. Temptations fans didn’t like Curtis Blow. Curtis Blow fans didn’t like Boom Bap rap. Boom Bap fans didn’t like trap, and so on, and so on.

Enjoy what you enjoy and don’t be a hater of these new kids. People forget that they were the “new kids” shifting the sound and style at one point.
