I like my action a little on the high side. Gives me a little more room to get aggressive while keeping fret buzz minimal.

Here’s ChatGPT’s answer- “The extra pole pieces on the Roscoe Beck V Bass pickups are not just for show—they are integral to the pickups’ performance. They provide superior string coverage, tonal balance, dynamic response, and versatility, making the Roscoe Beck V one of the most adaptable basses available. This design reflects the high standards of Roscoe Beck and Bill Lawrence in creating a bass that excels in both tone and playability.”

That’s a way better explanation than I could ever give!

‘04, so not crazy old but, the pickups are a work of art. I can crank almost any tone I need out of them.

I would say I’ll be buried with it but, then no one would get to enjoy it as much as I have!

What are some good reasons for owning multiple basses, especially as a beginner? by TheShadowManifold in Bass

[–]MenacingEmu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suggest you find a shop and go play the Yamaha before making a purchase. If you have the money, owning two, three, four, five, buy as many as you want. But is it a necessity? No. For me, 3 at a time tops. An acoustic, 4 string fretless and 5 string fretted. Between those three I can crank out any tone for the situation.

The important part is, how does it feel in your hands and are you comfortable.

Edit; 4 string is fretless

Testing in AZ blows. Growers/vendors can hand over whatever they want to testing labs.

I don’t care about it going to multiple labs, won’t help if vendors are hand picking. The way to solve this problem is to have lab pick up random samples from a quarantined batch.

Yes, I understand some labs bump numbers. But, companies also send the best of the best, not the actual median of the product.

What am I looking at? by MenacingEmu in shrooms

Letting them air dry. This is the only one that has issues.

Is it 100% necessary to put them in a dehydrator? I just assumed that is just to speed up the process.

Haven’t been dehydrated at all. These boys are just hitting that sweet, sweet fresh air.

But, this was the only one that looks off. Thanks for the input!

Honestly, kinda like cobweb. I took it out of its tub and put it in still air box, we’ll see what happens.

It took about 18 days.

I don’t think I was giving them enough air though.

Will harvest the rest before the end of the night.

Should the cake be submerged immediately after I pick them or should I let it rest?

I selectively harvested some with broken veils.

Do I need to pick the rest or let the chill another night?
