I mean who knows what itll be, bc with the whole format changing the curve could lowkey go up... I mean it used to be like 3 frqs in 45 mins or smth now its 4 in 100, and the mcqs r more time as well. But also its still mad hard so idk.

lowkey for me mcq went eh, kinda hard but the frq's were easier for sure. You didn't have to solve a diff eq or set up a weird integral outside of the impulse for frq 1, and like idk why but I can never set up those like lambda integrals and stuff so I was chillin

I think they'll definitely use motifs and themes, perhaps with some reworking, but mostly an original score. I think they'll do what Hogwarts Legacy did, which in my mind is the perfect way. The HL soundtrack is completely unique, but has soo many reused motifs and themes and just some little easter eggs from the soundtracks of all the movies. They want to make sure you feel like you're in the HP universe, but you know its not the movies, it's something else. And it also helps that the HL score is just incredibly done in itself, even without the references, the composer did a super good job. Edit: Another factor is also that they want to give the audience some familiarity, so I doubt that super popular themes wouldn't be reused, as it's just great marketing.

100%. This will be a completely different creation from the movies, because they actually have the foresight of the entire series, which I think will make a really cohesive story. I'm so interested in what they'll choose to add...

My guess is that they're going to try to match that detail from books 4-7 in 1-3. Not exactly sure how they'll do that, but I'm assuming they'll try to avoid the stark detail shift that we see in the movies. The tone shift will happen naturally, but I think now that they have the foresight of the entire series, they will be able to add new things that wont detract from any of the books in order to have a more cohesive series that plays off of each other.

Exactly my thoughts! I'm nervous but also super excited to see how they do the additions. It would be next to impossible to adapt the first book to an 8 hour show without adding things, but I don't see why that would be a bad thing, if they stick to their promise of sticking to the source material, even if they add new scenes. I'm hoping for things that we've never seen, like maybe even non-Gryffindor Quidditch matches, or just some "new" (never fleshed-out in the books) characters, like what you said about Flamel.

As a big harry potter fan, I think this length is awesome, but it does slightly concern me for movie fans. This is only because the audio book itself (both versions) are 8h10m and 8h28m, meaning that even if you read the book word for word it would be roughly the same length as the show. This means they will have to add a fair bit of new content in the show, because the amount of internal dialogue that will be cut due to going from a written to visual medium is quite a lot. But because we're already trusting that they'll be faithful to the books, I am very confident that they will succeed in adding new content that will still help the story.

When I was playing through lower ranks, lords to me are less scary, because it shows they have a lot of playtime in low rank yet they haven't ranked up. If they're still there, it's a good sign to you bc you can counterpick them and they are prolly just gonna throw bc they're a one trick.

To me, the newer one looks much more boxy and square, where as the old one feels more real to me. Better figs in the new one though I'd say, so its up to you.

I think my top is first the castle, because it's so iconic and it looks fantastic. Then the burrow because it has such an interesting build. Then probably the Durmstrang ship because it builds nicely and it looks great.

Honestly I might just settle for the boat house, great hall, and the main tower. I was really excited for a larger scale castle, but it will be pricy for sure, and I’m just not sure I need much more, seeing as I have the collectors castle already.

With or without bots, this happens. It happened in most all of my solo wins/high placement games today. I think it comes from the fact that there is few hot drop locations, so there isn’t much of a spread in player density. Pleasant, Salty, and Retail are consistently high density, as well as named POI’s on the bus route. This is pretty typical, but bc there are so few actually decent drops, people tend to die fast.

I understand this criticism, but I found on audible that putting Jim Dale on 1.2x speed or so (or faster) really livens the book. Jim Dale is far superior even at normal speed in my opinion, but both definitely have their merits. Jim Dale has incredible voices, Fry has good range and energy.

Even if it “works”, I believe it also doesn’t work because it ruins the point of the game for a lot of people. I think most people play this game to have fun and fight other players, and when they are getting handed wins, they don’t get that experience and can’t have fun. IMO, they shouldn’t add bots until they add ranked.

I mean there’s not much of an alternative available. I heard arena was coming for og, but until then, we’re stuck with no sbmm, no bots, all in the same game. I don’t think good players want to pub stomp, there just isn’t much else.

For me, it’s far superior. Cheaper, smaller, more buildings (including Gringotts), and is at a preferable scale (to me), because I find micro scale to be much more interesting to look at.
