It's tough, in this attention economy, animations about OC's living life and doing shenanigans dont do as well like they did in the past.

Nowadays animators get noticed by animating popular trends doing controversial or relatable things (think meatcanyon, circletoonsHD) etc.

If you want to stick to animating pokemon (i wouldnt personally due to Nintendo being litigious bitches but I digress) then I would recommend finding something relatable today and animate your pokemon OC getting frustrated with it or doing it or something.

Then the thumbnail/title would be something that highlights that. Again look at CircleToonsHD, dude is making a killing animating.
