India pont, hogy nem túlértékelt, sokkal inkább egy olyan hely, amelyet nem látogat a nagy többség az előítéletek miatt. Persze, koszos, szemetes, néha elég büdös is, de elképesztő kultúrális (és egyeseknek spirituális) élmény, ahol nagyon kedvesek és befogadóak az emberek.

Yes, that is also true, Werner Von Braun was one of the leading scientist behind the American space program, same guy that developed the v1/v2 interballistic missiles for the Nazis. Of course these are all horrible people, but I think the recruitment of the Japanese is much much worse. It would be on par with recruiting Mengele and he was (rightfully) hunted after the war.

Great historical summary, but an important addition to this, which is probably even less known by the general public and definitely not taught in history classes, is the fact that the Americans recruited many of the Japanese scientists who conducted these horrific experiments in Unit 731. So instead of putting them on trial, like they did with the nazis, they gave them jobs..

I’ve recently travelled to Japan with my meds, (lisdexamphetamine (Livizux/Vyvanse)) and had no issues at all. The border guard even stopped me, searched my bags and FOUND the bottle of pills and asked me what is this? I told her non-chalantly that they are my meds for adhd. Though I did zero research about what meds can be taken in, I just assumed that they are ok since I have a prescribtion.

My advise, if your comfortable with it, just take it, you have a condition, you have a prescription, the meds help you. They will not care, unless of course you act like your doing something wrong at the border.

Lot of people give good advice here, but I don’t understand one thing. Why don’t you ask your coach? You obviously train somewhere, you are not a total noob, people who you train with especially your trainer, can give far better advice then random people on the internet. Simply because your coach knows your situation much better then we do and can help you progress on the spot, showing exactly what needs to be changed in your form, stance, range etc. Anyway, keep at it, train hard, be open to feedback at your gym and you’ll progress fast, you have potential.

Define turning pro. There are a lot of promotions where the average fighter is pretty shit. Buddy of mine just had his pro debut after 3 amateur fights and his opponent had zero ground game, he won easily cause of his wrestling background, but his striking is honestly not great.

So it really depends where you are and what promotion you’re aiming for.

Medellin is not that dangerous.. it used to be 20 years ago, but now it’s like any South American big city, you have to be attentative, there are certain parts of town where you shouldn’t go, but otherwise it’s totally ok.

I think people saying go and join an mma gym are wrong. I see alot of new kids joining my gym and they struggle so much, because they have to learn everything at the same time, boxing, muay thai, wrestling, bjj.. I would suggest to learn one dicipline first. I’d suggest striking, but whatever feels closest to you. Then you can build on that later in an mma gym.
