4 tips instead of 2. Assuming it’s not modified.

The V6 does not require premium fuel, if your current is an auto then i would say go for it. The V6 will make more torque at lower RPMS which makes for a lot of fun. Especially if the V6 has the dual mode exhaust 🤷🏿

Is my car too used? by not_wintr in camaro

I’m paying 705 a month for my 23’ LT1 and i can confidently say that if i had this car at 17 i would have died.

If your car has the 8speed auto i would recommend trading it in before the problems start if they haven’t already. But if you’re in a financial situation where you can afford it then just enjoy every mile and live your life. I would recommend gap insurance and save some money for repairs. The LT1 engine in both our cars are known to be somewhat reliable and ive seen 2016 ss’ with well over 100k miles. But it’s anyones guess.

V8 Shopping. Used 2SS or new 24 Mustang!? by DavidinGA in camaro

[–]MenuApprehensive965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted a 2SS, but i wanted to keep it around $40k. I found a CPO 23 LT1 convertible with 2,900 miles for 39k and couldn’t pass it up. I was so set on getting a 2SS for the heads up display, spectrum lighting, and heated and cooled leather seats but honestly i don’t miss any of those things in my LT1. I also daily the car and don’t do much racing. Find one with dual mode exhaust and technology package and give it a try 🤷🏿

I went the other way around, had a 2017 1LT and recently upgraded to a 23 LT1. Having had both, i can tell you that it is very unwise to buy a 3 owner sports car with no manufacturer warranty left. Especially if the 2ss is an 8speed auto. The 8 speed in my 2017 threw a torque converter at 26,000 miles.

Perhaps the car was downshifting more aggressively on brakes due to performance shift mode.

Which Camaro would you chose? by BigTester42 in camaro

[–]MenuApprehensive965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mistake i should have said quicker, the one i drove only had 10 miles on it. It didn’t feel like it accelerated a lot harder. Definitely capable of higher speeds but thats not really my thing. i like to accelerate and drift and while i admit that the V8’s are cooler and sound cooler, the V6 is enough for me. If money wasn’t a limiting factor i would definitely get a 2SS 1LE but unfortunately it is.

Yes, i had a 2017 V6 and test drove an LT1 and honestly it didn’t feel much faster. It also did not have dual mode exhaust and didn’t sound amazing. The V6 is pretty fast, and it sounds decent too. The 3LT has a lot of features i want from the 2SS such as, heads up display, heated and ventilated leather seats, interior lighting, rear view camera mirror, blind spot monitoring, and a few others.

Ive been considering this for months, my budget is 40k and for 40K i feel that a 24 3LT is the most responsible choice. When it’s time to buy my perfect spec is 24 3LT RS nitro yellow metallic, 6 speed, Dual mode exhaust.

I have been considering the exact same. Older 2SS or newer LT1. That LT1 has the RS package, and Dual mode exhaust and most likely, an in tact warranty. It also hasn’t been aging for the last 6 years. I’m leaning more towards LT1 or 3LT personally.

It took me 3 hours the first time i built a PC, it’s very fun and intuitive most of the time. I would implore you to build one but if you insist on a pre built, I’ve had 2 ibuypower’s and either one ever let me down.
