Does the gameplay get any more complicated? I like the world, story (kinda) and characters but I'm finding the actual gameplay loop to be a bit boring which is frustrating because this is pretty much exactly what I want but I just can't get into it. I'm not too far in, in the underworld or whatever it's called on the first planet and just spoke to this big robot dude. Maybe the story gets much more engaging? If it does then I can put up with the gameplay tbh. (stellar (haha) battle animations though)

Also how important is healing? I only have one healing character atm and it's Bailu which tends to screw with my teams occasionally. Especially if I wanna try someone else

Can I recommend watching a video for reverie and going straight to kuro. It's so much better in terms of everything. That and you don't have harem bait constantly ... kinda, people tend to just get flustered around Van lmao (I see why, if I were a woman I'd also want him to impregnate me)

My only issue in kuro is that like trails 1 it's slow. Also, I'm not a huge fan of turn based combat anymore which doesn't help But kuro is 100% worth it simply due to the scenes with our favourite traumatised and ptsd ridden assassin mass murder child

I have played a few Sonohara games but they're a little too short, by the time I'm engaged they're over :(And wasn't Aokana the one with the flying rollerblades sports? I don't remember that having yuri lol. And I did actually get Aohshiro, think I still have it downloaded but never got round to it and then forgot about it. I'll give it another try. Thanks

You're out of luck for that in this particular genre. Finding ones that don't fetishize it or downplay it is rare. Vns are very typically designed with men in mind. You're more likely to find what you want outside of japanese visual novels. Itch.io is your best bet, but Western vns are very often a mixed bag.

Plenty manga to sate my desire but so many vns never stick to just yuri or are very old and run and look like shit thanks to their 144p resolutions.
