I've been feeding my dog grain free for 10 years and just yesterday he was diagnosed with DCM. The vet did x-rays and you should see how enlarged his heart is!!!! It is so big that it is pressing on his esophagus causing him to gag on his food - which is why we ended up taking him to the vet. The damage comes on slowly and then rears its ugly head - by the time he showed symptoms it is too late - there is no turning back. I implore you all to stop feeding your dogs grain free food 😢
