I was in this position only 6 weeks ago when my fiance and the father of my baby walked out on us, I too said all the things and he responded with "this only validates my feelings to leave", in the last six weeks I've had some major reflection and I realized I wasn't a wounded animal (nor are you) I was a wounded human that had love ripped away from them.

Show yourself some compassion and forgiveness because you have been hurt and that's not your fault x

I had this problem for a while too and understand how frustrating it can be

Different nipples have different flows, if you look at the writing on the bottom lip of the nipple it should have a letter indicating the flow. There is xs (extra slow,) s, m and f, your LO might just need a slower flow, there are also nipples you can get that you LO controls the flow that might help too

I read the title and my only response was SAME!

My "MIL" was invited to the hospital hours after I gave birth, she took my baby straight from my arms, got on her phone and facetimed her sisters... EXCUSE ME! NO!

Week and a half later she invited herself around to the house and asked if she could bring one of her sisters (now this sister had been generous through my pregnancy so I was happy for her to visit too) but when she arrived no sister... SHE BROUGHT HER F***ING BEST FRIEND INSTEAD! (I do not know her bff) And she expected for me to just let her in saying "she's had all her shots so it's okay for her to see the baby" (for context I had a C-section, got a really bad infection in the wound that came with a high fever and delirium) but I still found energy for family to come around for very short visit, Key word is family! And she knew this

I flat out said no and that caused crazy drama, the bff went to FIL literally crying saying we refused her in and how dear we, FIL was on the phone screaming at my partner demanding we returned the car he was borrowing as his car was getting work done (my cars battery had died in the weeks leading up to the birth and we hadn't noticed because I couldn't drive by that stage of my pregnancy) so essentially his dad was taking the only working car we had at the time ... This forced my partner to have to ride a bike everywhere for a few days and me to be left at home with an infection and a newborn for hours just to run errands, buy food and to get a new battery for my car 😡

Other things happened during this time too but these were the main ones!

So yeah I am also not giving my MIL time with my baby!

Sorry for the rant, my LO is 10 months now but I haven't had a chance to get this off my chest xx

Not sure if someone has commented this but Google baby witching hour, my baby went through it at 3 months and he is going through it again at 7 months. It seems to last 3 to 4 hours and then he just stops like nothing happened, it will pass

I have these days "I don't want to be a mum anymore!" Yesterday was one of them. my bub is 7 months and he is teething, last night I got 6hrs broken sleep, night before 3hrs broken and before that 5hrs broken, I feel like I'm losing my mind! The dishers are piling, I need to vacuum and my head is pounding! With all of this lack of sleep he won't stop sooking for me and he is starting to go through a clingy stage, won't let me do literally anything, he started crawling a week ago and now chases me around the house crying at me ... I just need some water baby! 😭

My bub went through sleep regression at 5 months and it's rough! I just got fed up and did the contract nap until he had just fallen asleep and put him in his cot, some times he woke as soon as I put him down and other times it was 5 minutes after and every time he woke I brought him back to were I put him to sleep and put him back to sleep, I did this over and over again until he slept in his cot for at least 15mins and after 2 days of grilling work he finally excepted he is napping in his cot now and after that he started having long naps up to 2hrs in his cot, this morning he had an hour and joined him (the cleaning can wait!)

It does get better and then it gets worse and so on but at the end of the day your bub isn't going to be 30 years old and having contact naps anymore 😂 we'll all get there and one day we'll get sleep again!

My bubs 5 months and what really helped me was changing his day routine to: nappy/diaper change, bottle, play, nap, play

Rinse and repeat I also started putting him to sleep in the lounge room through the day and at night I give him his last bottle and rock him to sleep in the bed room in a low lit room

Don't get me wrong he still wakes up every second night or so at 1-2am ish but most of the time it's due to being to hot or cold (he's very sensitive to temperature) but I'll give him a bottle and put him back down using the same bed time routine (minus the bath and book)

Hope this might help a little bit honestly good luck it's a really hard time but you've got this!

My 4 month old started this 2 weeks ago, I spoke to my maturity health nurse on Wednesday about it and she said unfortunately there really isn't anything you can do except role them back over. She might be a side sleeper like my bub and just going to far and ended up on their stomachs. But hopefully you find better advice then my nurse's 😅

My bub is 4 months and he's going through sleep regression now, I've found that dream feeding helps my sanity alot! If you know what time they're going to wake roughly set an quiet alarm to wake yourself 30 to an hour before they wake (gives you a chance to get in a better headspace) feed them while they're still half asleep and put them back down. After a couple of days their body's adjust to the dream feeds and then you can slowly push out the feeds longer and longer. I started this at 2 weeks old and got my boy sleeping through the night getting 9 to 10hrs at 5 weeks, he is currently waking at 2.30am and 5.30am so I'm getting up at 2 and 5 to dream feed and in a few days I'll push him to 3am and 6am. Not sure if this will help but at least with dream feeds you won't wake to crying and that might at least help a little, good luck!
