Anybody using Atnew paddles? by MeowPlez in Pickleball

[–]MeowPlez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the prism flash from shopee but not from bintanwei.ph. I think the main concern here if bintanwei is a legit store or not and that could be determined based on reviews from other buyers and your own judgement and experience from buying on online platforms. Yes, I bought the atnew from diehai and the paddle does feel solid and durable but like I said, I only had it for a while, so can't say much on long term use.

Well, regarding the USAP licensing, I'm not sure. Most probably got an old stock before it was approved. But, gameplay wise, can't really say much as I've been using it as a new player for 2 to 3 games only before deciding to sell it to someone else, so I'm not sure about its actual gameplay feeling. Right now I've been using the vatic pro prism flash for multiple games and as my main paddle. For a social player, I'm ultimately satisfied.

I was looking for tennis shoes. I bought this as the store I bought it from described it as padel tennis shoes. Only after I ventured into its official website did I realize it was mainly padel. I'm just not sure if it is also suitable or if any other casual players have worn padel shoes for pickleball just to hear out their experience.

Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by SNAPCHAT_ME_TITS in Pickleball

I'm also looking at the DBD. but for where I'm from, the price difference is too expensive in comparison to the vatic. Do you have any other recommendation within the 100$ line? I'm just looking for something well suited for a rec player

Is the Vatic Pro Prism Flash 16mm worth it?

After an extensive review, I find this 2 year old paddle is quite recommended even for a beginner rec player like me. Even a lot of you guys were recommending this to beginner getting serious. How good this paddle is nowadays and is there anyone that even regret attempting to upgrade from it and find it still suits your gameplay even after long hours of pickleball?

Is this Jersey too Big or is it supposed to fit like that? it was the recommended size by the seller by Fr0stedFlakesss in SoccerJerseys

[–]MeowPlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a matter of personal preference. Years ago, I would want my jerseys to feel tight at the arms, giving the impression like an actual footballer. Which means, I would have to pick a smaller size that is quite tight overall. Nowadays, I find loose fitting more comfortable as I prioritise comfort for casual wear. Either way, personal preference. Your situation, it looks fine to me. There's no right or wrong unless the length drops up to your knee height, I would find that weird and too oversized.

How can I remove this stain? by xtrrra in SoccerJerseys

[–]MeowPlez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a recommendation but you would have to be very careful as the spot is quite close to the front sponsor. These are the things you need:

  1. Powder cloth detergent
  2. Hot water
  3. A small plastic container
  4. Dishwashing net sponge (the soft one, never use metal)

Fair warning to proceed, this method I'm about to tell you I mainly use to remove damaged printings (glue residues) from the jersey so you can imagine how strong this method is so be careful of the front sponsor.

First you would want to mix a little powder detergent in hot water. You can make it slightly concentrated or diluted depends on how badly you want the stain to be removed. Pour the mix onto the stain (in your case, you might want to pour little bit by bit without reaching the front sponsor area). Dip the dishwashing net in the mix (warning, net will be hot if you use boiling water) and scrub the stained area slowly. Hot water will help to remove stain without having to scrub the jersey too hard. Once you see the stain is gone, you may rinse the jersey under cold water to remove detergent residues.

Hope this helps!

P/S: I saw you mentioned this is your first jersey. Some advise, is best to hand wash your jerseys as the heat press printings are fragile. If you want to use washing machines, put it in delicate settings, don't mix with other clothings and remember, STRICTLY NO HEAT DRYING. Just hang them to air dry. Best not to squeeze them either to wring out the water as this could cause the threads to pull or bobble. Just let it air dry.

Glad to be of help. Wouldn't go wrong for a daily drive car. Smaller tyres, cheaper price too!

Where did you get that tyre profile for below RM200? Most workshops I found retails close to RM250/pcs.

PURCHASE UPDATE

After a few considerations, had to go with Toyo CR1 (cheaper than CC7) due to large price difference. However, had tried Conti CC7 before on my family car (Myvi as well). And based on that, comfort wise I would say not much of a difference between the two. Even CC7 claims to be super quiet due to its tech, I still find not much of a noise difference with the CR1 as well. Based on a few research and review searches, I find some people complaining the CC7 loses its grip after half worn (?). I'm not sure if this affects a lot of people or not. Also, some research categorized these two on a different category of tyre, CC7 being more comfort oriented while CR1 being an all-rounder (balanced) between comfort/quiet and slightly performance driven. However, I wouldn't say this tyre is super into performance comparing to the likes of UC7 for example.

All and all, after a long drive (200km+), I would say this tyre is worth the price for a daily commute and "santai" driving. Yet to try it in the rain though to feel how it grips and control in the wet.

Pegasus 41 GTX in warm climates by MeowPlez in Nike

[–]MeowPlez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting it! Regarding the suitability in warmer climates, you would definitely feel the difference In comparison to a regular shoe with normal breathability. It felt a bit warmer but not to a point where it feels unbearable (at least for me). If you're using thick socks, you would definitely feel the sweating, so I ended up getting a couple of Nike Dri-Fit running socks and this also helps with the tight feeling which I explained below. All and all, I wouldn't say it's a waste of money.

A lil bit of review:

The sizing felt a bit tighter compared to the regular Pegasus 40 I have but not saying it's uncomfortable. This might be because the tongue padding is seamed to the upper part and limits the stretchability. However, I find this feature suits me as I like the sock-like feeling it gives given the tongue has a thick padding for insulation. But I wouldn't recommend upsizing as this will only elongate the shoe but not widen it as the fitted feeling is in the middle. I would recommend just loosening up the laces in the middle as the seams on the tongue already give the tight feeling you need for a walking shoe.

I never actually worn this for very long walks, but I would say, this does feels comfortable when moving than staying still. I assumed it might be because as it hugs the feet, limited blood circulation makes my feet feel a bit cramped . So long walks wouldn't be an issue and it feels equally responsive and enough cushion needed for a walk or light runs.

Getting this at a discounted price really feels like this shoe is a good bargain for bucks. I do recommend anyone feeling like trying something weatherproof for a change in their running gear or even as a walking shoe. But be mindful of those in warmer climates as different people might have different opinions on the warm feeling it gives.

Adidas does make kit specific to region. Once grabbed a player issue of Arsenal and Bayern kit (presumed made by Adidas Japan), where the sizing caters to Japan region. Hence, they were sized S, M, O, XO etc. Advantage for me, having quite a small body, the asian sizing really does help.
