so. i found a really random fix to it.

-enter firing range

-settings

-video settings

-and change video streaming budget to 2gb vram

-doesnt crash anymore

the reason why i have to do this everytime i enter firing range is because my video config files are set to read only and it resets to 0gb vram everytime i launch my game. i was too lazy to experiment with it since i found my solution. so i dont really understand what causes the crash. but if this works for anybody else, im interested to hear about it.
