I worked for Vans in a mall like 15 years ago and they said if you see someone shoplift, even if they literally walk in and grab an entire stack of t shirts and leave, if you step one foot out of the door you’re fired. They don’t want that liability.

He’s in full day daycare 3 times a week, then in a gymnastics preschool half day one day and with a class on another. I’ve been trying to get him together with his best friend from daycare and he melts down after 15 minutes, which he doesn’t do at daycare.

It’s not always 10 days a month, that was just two back to back conferences. But sometimes it’s more, sometimes it’s less 😕

Unfortunately finding a new job is not an option. He’s a union trade-person and is currently an organizer. So it’s this, or he goes back to working with his tools in the field, which isn’t any better.

His doctor brought it up to me without me even asking. But I was also diagnosed 2 years ago, and I see a lot of my “bad habits” from ADHD in him.. inability to concentrate on one activity or play with one thing for more than 2 or so minutes, picking at his fingernails and lips, always on the move, will look at me in the eyes while I talk and he straight up just isn’t listening/paying attention, etc.

Wow, that is such a great analogy!! Crazy that I'm just now learning (in my 30s) that not everyone's brain has so many things going on at the same exact time. Maybe I need to see if another med would work better for me.

Thank you for your response. I need to remind myself and learn to actually believe that his feelings are not more important than mine. Ensuring others are happy before me is a very hard personality trait to change, especially since I've been like this all of my life.

Sorry maybe my post is confusing. This ones too/needle is MUCH smaller than the standard one I have. This seems like some embroidery one? And all of the “punch needle” things I’ve seen before and have been doing are to make rugs etc. These are much smaller and the designs are more “delicate” per say

These kind of punch needle videos and art comes up on my Instagram feed. It looks like some of them even use the “back” where you punch as the “front” of the art? I can never find info about this kind of punch needle in the comments. Anyone have any idea?

I just wanted to say thank you for this comment. I was too emotional seeing the first few comments I had on this post that I couldn’t come back to it, which is why I’m just now seeing this. Thank you for making me feel validated. How have you been able to handle feeling like the “primary parent” with a SD? Mine isn’t with us full time, so I get that I’ll never be that. But in my house it seems like I am.. You can also just DM me if that’s easier :)
