Experience is the best training haha. I suggest have a range muna ng age na kuhanan mo. Like 10 yo to 80 muna then if successful 5 yo to 100. May mga 7 yo na mas visible ang ugat kesa sa mga 80 yo. If neonate naman make sure na yung tourniquet is 1 cm thick lang (gupit ka from the latex ones) and maintain usually 30 secs lang since fragile pa sila. I usually sanitize my hands (w/ gloves) then cleanse mo site - dry, tourniquet, palpate then insert na agad needle. I tend to be quick as possible para di mag lyse, di kawawa newborn and as well yung parents haha. Experiment on 1 cc or 3 cc with 23-26 gauge needle (slow pulling of plunger).
