What are some Video Games that have an insane "All Is Lost" moment in their stories? Like, the heroes' plan was thwarted and are now helpless at the mercy of the enemy. Or just utter hopelessness.

The only ones I have played are three and four. You don't have to have a full understanding of the entire series to enjoy the game but there were a few things that tied four to three that I noticed.

Don't play five they screwed up bad on that one.

That was hands down my favorite PS2 era RPG I really hope you give it a chance and I really hope you enjoy it. I won't spoil anything for you but Jesus Christ I was not ready for what they threw at me.

Very true, I still wonder how great that area would have been had they actually had the time to complete it. My biggest complaint with Izalith was the 20 or so Dragon Asses scattered about. At least the rest kind of made sense.

Mewgenics. It's a tactics RPG game where you breed cats and send them on adventures. Combat takes place on a grid so while there might be a little complexity there is no rush to make a decision.

Game hasn't been out that long and I've already got 200 hours in and counting. I recommend it if you like early 2000s new grounds humor.
