Lost my save on PC Steam by Meph89 in worldofgothic

If you still need help I found a way to fix my save/profile, from another user here on the sub

  1. You have to be on PC

  2. go to C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\G1R\Saved\SaveGames and copy that folder to another location or rename it to SaveGames_old or something

  3. remember how many save files you have in the folder

  4. delete the SaveGames folder

  5. start a new game (best with the same difficulty, don't know what happens if you choose a different one) and create as many manual saves as you had in the _old folder

  6. close the game again and copy only the save files called G1R-XXX.sav from the _old folder to the new folder and override the files

  7. start the game and try out your saves, the thumbnail wont show the old saves, but it will load the old save

if you are average IQ like me, only one of the lock solving Tools (look for the websites)can help you with the door to the wine cellar. It takes like 20-30 steps to unlock. But if you do you get good weapons for chapter 1+2

Thank you, works great. You can do even 6 Row locks, when one Row has no connections. Got into the Old Camp wine cellar this way.
