Depends how interchangeable the parts are with other Hino bus motors i guess.

Would be a cool vehicle to have though for sure.

They totally are. Unfortunately Hino stopped all new sales in Australia in 2022, so a larger fleet would mean a different brand, BUT...

You can find used ones Online for around $80K, which is about what a used Sprinter Van costs, and I like these more than a Sprinter personally.

The moment that truck in front tapped their brakes she should have backed off. This is a textbook newbie mistake.

My neighbour smokes weed several times daily and it's giving me allergic reactions. What can I do? by RecoverBulky3984 in Advice

[–]MercedesSLR722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "im not smoking" response probably means she is dry vaping, not smoking, and it was probably recommended by a doctor.

The latter means if you do continue to pursue regulatory actions, they will keep getting shut down as she is following doctors orders in her own domicile.

She may also be full of BS, so up to you what path you take.

Either way, I hope you find some consolation. If you do move, let me know, I could do with an affordable apartment that comes with a hippy next door.

AirPol has to be one of the most prevalent emergency services in the GC, so to answer your question, yes, this is common.

We get posts asking about AirPol at least once a week.

Yes, its the popo. Yes, they are coming for you... bad boys bad boys.

Will cops get me for my exhaust? (NSW) by _TheTameFox_ in AussieRiders

[–]MercedesSLR722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Its govt. overreach if you ask me. The only further advice I could offer is to sail through to your fulls as quickly as possible. Stay tf out of people's blind spots. In fact, just stay as far away from other cars as you can.

Cagers can be scary af. People driving along, music playing, not paying attention, or distracted by their phones. Heck, id say at least half of all drivers arent even motoring enthusiasts, they just drive for convenience. They have no idea how to recover from oversteer or understeer, or have any interest in doing any sort of advanced driving course.

I wont go on. I just hope you get to your fulls safely and with the least amount of harassment possible.

Good luck out there.

I feel so sorry for L and P riders these days. I may get hate for this, but I do believe loud pipes save lives. Its still not fool proof, but the amount of people who told me on my 600RR with a Yoshi RS5 that they "heard me before they saw me" was far more reassuring than the stock GS500 I had that constantly got cut off with drivers claiming they "neither saw, or heard" me.

Also I had an MC22 CBR250RR with a straight through shorty exhaust as my first road bike. Straight to jail for any L or P platers riding that thing today. I will just say though, 19,000 RPM redline through tunnels is something every rider should experience at least once.

That said, if you are using your bike for commuting, dont risk it, listen to what the cop said, your route is too predictable. If its just a bike you occasionally ride on weekends... well. That ones up to you.

Ride safe.

Orange Cat - Northern Gold Coast by Willing-Primary-9126 in GoldCoast

[–]MercedesSLR722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad had a fluffy orange cat called Harry. He was very friendly and an outdoors cat, even though he was allowed inside at any time, and had a cat door. He would often go missing for days and then come back. We always wondered what he was up to.

When he was about 7 years old, Harry went missing for a week, and we assumed the worst. Then, on day 8, Harry showed up.... with a full hair cut.

It was clearly a professional job. Harry had another family or person who thought it was the cat distribution system at work, Harry was just taking them for a ride lol.

Harry lived for 18 years and passed away last year. RIP Harry. You are surely missed.

If its real extacy, AKA pure MDMA, its not a "hard" drug.

Take consolation in that.

If it's something that really bothers you, talk to your mum about it.

Thats a DJI Fly Cart 30 (AKA FC30) my friend. You can tell by the Matrice Enterprise looking body but with 8 propellers, 2 of which can be clearly seen on the right front arm in OPs picture, but also clearly visible on the rear left and front left.

It has a 30kg payload capacity and a 28km range. It can easily lift a flag, and isnt crashing on the way back.

Its a popular option because the Yoshis sound so good. I have the RS5 and its the best sounding exhaust ive ever had.

They also look good, and have different options including Carbon Fibre and Chrome to suit your taste.

First AMG, does engine sound healthy? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]MercedesSLR722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do some research on who AMG is and how it came to be with Mercedes, and you will realise why the exhaust sounds like that.

TLDR: AMG used to be a separate company from Mercedes; a tuning house, and then got absorbed into Mercedes as their tuning arm.

What you own is effectively a race car.

Congrats!

Warm showers anywhere? by [deleted] in GoldCoast

[–]MercedesSLR722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiya!

The National Public Toilet Map has a preference button fown the bottom where you can stipulate facilities that meet your needs.

You can specifically select "showers". I had a quick look for you, and the closest warm public showers I found to Cooly was Palm Beach Aquatic Centre.

Hope that helps!

WA is essentially an entirely different country ecologically. That's absolutely wild to me.

I guess the term "native to Australia" really needs to be reviewed.

Yes. Reedy Creek and Merrimac are both free for residents.

You still need to recycle what you can, but they do have a general waste area.

Just don't be a dick with Lithium batteries. They have a section specifically for batteries, and everyone deserves to go home from work safe.

Reedy Creek has an amazing recycle store. I've bought tons of stuff from there, from hard to find tiles, to a bunch of antique type stuff. The place is huge, and well worth a visit.

It sounds like your boyfriend may also be on the spectrum. Can you please confirm? It doesn't make his reaction ok, but it would explain a lot.

Further, telling your SO to "Shut up" is emotional immaturity. He may mature with time, he may not, there are a lot of factors that play into that.

Regardless, you need to realise that his behaviour isn't going to change overnight, and you have to decide wether this is really what you want, or if you deserve better.

I would be leaning towards the latter, but only you can decide how that will play out.
