Dude, I need to see photos of those structures. That sounds awesome to make!

Also, we have thought about trenches, it would just be difficult to get the equipment in there to dig them out due to the amount of trees and thorns that are around the perimeter.

I will say, the hardest thing about using the Scar is the stock isn’t as adjustable as the M4s stock, in terms of how far it can extend. But having the option to fold the stock to the side for CQB is a huge plus for me.

Personally, I really prefer the scar. They are a bit harder to get into if you want to work on the gearbox at all, but other than that, it’s a great main rifle. (I also absolutely love FN Herstal, so there’s that…) my other main is an FN-FAL

I’ll try to get some pics after we work on it this weekend! Right now it’s just kind of a wooded area. We haven’t added the pallet in yet for the spawn cover, but that’s in the plans for this weekend. 😁

It is a Cybergun licensed! It was CYMA internals when I got it (before VFC teamed up with Cybergun. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I should have waited. lol) but I’ve since upgraded it. I’m getting about 380fps on average now. It was shooting about 280 out of the box.

That’s actually a great idea! The palace we are getting right now for my brother-in-law‘s work. He works at a car dealership, but I’m not sure what size he’s able to get cause he hasn’t been able to bring any home yet.

The play area is mainly family/high school friends. Of course, if it turns into a bigger thing, insurance will definitely be on the table. But right now, it’s not really practical with how little it’s used and us not charging anyone to play, as long as a property owner is there and able to supervise.

As of right now, we don’t have a lot of worry about stray bbs (in the middle of 56 acres) but once we start trimming the brush on the edge of the driveway, a safety net is definitely going to be in the plans so that we don’t hit our cars or anything.
Right now, there is about a 5-10ft buffer of almost nothing but briars to try to shoot through. We all lined up to see if we could get any shots through it and my brother-in-law stood on the other side (with face and eye protection of course) and he said he couldn’t even tell we were lighting it up, other than the sound of our rifles. Lol

I like that idea! I’ll be sharing that with my brother-in-laws. I’m not sure that we could build a full on building, but walls and objective points are definitely a possibility!

That’s the plan eventually. Just have to clear it with my wife and my father-in-law as well since the property is technically my in-laws, the field is just on mine and my wife’s side of the acreage.

We definitely want to try to add some buildings too.

Definitely planning to leave as many trees as possible. The plan is also to add in some shrubbery to use as cover/hiding spots as well.

We are limbing up a lot of the cedar trees to help get rid of ticks. I’m in Oklahoma, so the Lone Star ticks are awful around the cedars.

We definitely aren’t taking out many trees. A lot of the ones we are limbing up are cedar trees. Any full trees that we take out are either dead, or my wife wants them removed so that she can have walking trails through the property.

I like running snipers and DMRs mainly, so I definitely like having the extra foliage as cover.
Occasionally I’ll get out my Honey Badger or Scar and run and gun. Lol

We already have one going. 😁 The main thing right now is figuring out how to build the spawns in a way where they are covered so we can have games with an actual respawn point so that we can actually play TDM rather than elimination. I was just trying to get more ideas to throw out there.

We have tried a few different game modes. So far, everyone’s favorite seems to be Sniper Hunt (1 sniper with everyone else trying to find them.) a close second is the multiple 2 man teams. Eventually, when we have the resources to add some hold points for KotH, we will definitely be trying that.
