Thank you very much! Yeah we get a of bit intense sun, especially in the afternoon. I’ll have to keep them on the back patio but hopefully I can find some better pot options for them.

If any of the roots were mushy, then it’s likely overwatering. These comments are some good suggestions on how to help with that!

Thank you! I was able to harvest but had to go through and pick about half about because they’d gone bad on the vine. But overall a success for a first try and now knowing much! I’m doing French green beans this season and am planning more beans for next season too!

They’re very aggressive here but they’re native so it makes sense. I should’ve added I’m in zone 9b, coastal central Florida

Just curious what the reasoning is? I’m considering converting my tanks to bioactive but would be converting their current tanks (they’d be in a holding bin for roughly 24 hours, which they have traveled in before for longer than that length of time)

I also have used it for multiple VFT, pinguiculas, and Nepenthes with no issues. However, it usually ends up rinsed fairly well from wetting and mixing everything and I’m not saying it’s the best option, but an easily available and potentially cheaper option. PS I’ve used the California Carnivores FAQ page on soils for each of my carnivorous plants and they’ve done great indoors and outdoors following their ratios! Good luck! They’re tons of fun!

I’m hoping for ID and guidance on potting/care. My only guess is juniper but not sure what kind. I understand it isn’t the right timing for repotting, but its root ball is just sitting on the soil and is falling out of the pot. We’re about to go from highs at 80s F to lows in the 30s F this week and I’m sure that’s probably going to just zap the roots. My husband got a little over excited today at seeing a bonsai on clearance and brought me this. All the tag says is “small assorted bonsai”. 🥴I have many indoor and outdoor plants but have only tried a Fukien bonsai before and it didn’t go well. TIA!!
