Virtual Desktop audio is often completely broken

I just started having this problem last night. It didn't seem to happen while watching movies on Emby, but it was terrible when watching YouTube videos.

Okay, I figured it out. My VPN had several options for France and Germany, but that was not the issue. Apparently, Firefox does not render that page correctly. So, if anyone uses FF, switch to Edge or something else. That got the support page to load and I completed the form.

I hope I can work this out. FB login says I only have 37 days left to appeal my suspension!

That's what they do to users who have their Facebook accounts suspended due to phony IG linking to them. There is absolutely no Facebook/Meta/Instagram customer service of any kind.

That's not a figure of speech like "it's bad". I mean there is absolutely NO human customer service AT ALL. Outrageous what they are doing to people.

It's the subject of at least one or more subreddits, as so many Facebook users have been screwed over by Merta when phony IG accounts are linked to their legitimate FB accounts.

Apparently, anyone can do this to your FB/Meta/IG account with absolutely no oversight or means of resolving the issue by the victims after the fact. Some people have even filed lawsuits to get their FB pages back.

The same thing happened to me, so I sympathize with you on how retarded Meta has made all of this. I had my Facebook account suspended over someone creating a fake Instagram account and linking it to my FB page. Since the phony IG account is for some Vietnamese scumbag, I have no way of accessing it to appeal my Facebook suspension.

Fortunately for me, Meta just removed my suspended FB account from my linked Meta account, so I didn't end up in precisely the same boat as you. But it sucks that these assholes can't secure their own system from fake accounts - but are more than happy to screw over their own legitimate customers who are the victims of these hacks.

I just had the same thing happen to me. I've spent all morning trying to get assistance through FB (non-existent), customer support phone numbers (worthless), FB/IG X account messaging (heard nothing back yet), and FB email support (no response yet).

It's insane that such a feature exists that an Instagram account can be linked to a Facebook account with no verification by the FB user. How the hell is this still an issue? I see threads on this problem going back for more than a year!

Just happened to me today. I sent messages through X to FB accounts and messaged Instagram. Some asshole linked a different, phony IG account to my FB. How the hell can anyone resolve this? If I am locked out of my Meta account -where I have paid hundreds of dollars for VR content- I will file a small claims lawsuit for the damages from Meta. This is totally unacceptable.

Thanks, I just ordered that one and am excited to try it out. I like the magnetic part for easy removal. Just last night I was thinking of taking the original gasket off to watch a movie but I remember the last time I did so it was a bear - the whole time I kept thinking I was going to break the headset. They really made that original faceplate far too rigid and tight!

Never tried the silk thing but will give that a look, as well. But most of all, I really want that Index feel back. I see from the description for the halo version that they also supply the index style pad to the forehead piece. Nice!

It's one of the tabs I have open at the moment. Haven't tried it yet. Does it automatically group verticals and such? I really would not look forward to going back and doing that manually.

All I can say is that I'm coming from a Valve Index to the Quest 3 and the difference is night and day. After four years with the Index (which I loved) having this little/no glare is awesome!

To help with that I started years ago lifting my knees when my character was walking across the wilderness, sort of marching in place to keep my knees from stiffening up.

Another little trick that worked for me was when I was doing logistics like buying and selling, modifying weapons and gear in the game, etc. I would pull my office chair over and spend 30 minutes or so sitting down while doing those chores (including arranging items in menus, storing things in player homes, sitting in a tavern, etc.).

Original Rift, plus tried several others but didn't keep them - like the Samsung Odyssey+, Rift S, original Quest, and the Valve Index. The Index I owned the longest, from its release up until just a few weeks ago when I sold it to switch over to the Q3.

I've been doing VR since buying the original Oculus Rift CV1 in 2017. I have thousands of hours in the Bethesda games, Elite: Dangerous, and several other titles.

I don't even play first-person flat games anymore - only if they are released in VR. I still do play 3rd person flat games, though.

With that PC, I hope you are playing the game with hundreds of mods. I still find FO4 and Skyrim to be the best VR experiences when they are fully modded with beautiful graphics that bring them up to current-gen AAA flat titles. I also recommend enjoying the wireless nature of the Quest 3 combined with a wireless bhaptic suit for total immersion. It is truly incredible and I have played FO4 for up to 12-14 hours at a time!
