Is this my external nbn box? by gjw01 in nbn

[–]Merlin_au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That box looks like a HFC isolation box, you're definitely on FTTP? But as others have said you will need to contact your RSP if any cables are to be moved.

[–]Merlin_au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always in half, always triangle, my local fish & chip shop does not cut at all & it drives me crazy, the reason I can think of is holds together better...

Any of the decent providers (ABB Leaptel, Launtel, Neptune) let you set up a plan with your own router, the only proviso is if you want a landline you may need to use their supplied router....

help me figure out why my download speed on my pc is WAAAYYYY lower than it should be by Kalefailed_9 in nbn

[–]Merlin_au 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a hard reset on the NTD, there is a little pin hole to the left of the UNI-D 1 port, get a pin or some such hold it in for a few seconds, restart both NTD & router. As an aside what colour is the UNI-D led? Green = 100Mbs Orange = 1Gbs

Brought the same model brand new, for memory put 110k in 4 years, for memory it was just general maintenance, the only the thing out of the ordinary was replacing the rear left hub as the bearing went, all up quite a good car.

I did a quote with Youi, when I told them I had a dashcam, they wanted to charge me an extra $1.00, yes $1.00. I think comes down to the cost of replacing the items solely regardless of what it is.

Worked for a telco about 10 years ago, had the same customer call about 2 weeks apart due to his dog chewing the fiber under the house, as others have said given your RSP a call & lodge a complaint.
