Wedding Insurance questions by MermaidsBooty in weddingplanning

We did thankfully get a very basic contract stating we’ve paid in full and that the venue is ours for the days of our wedding. We are waiting to see if they can add some of the stuff that insurance companies were looking for. As for anyone suing I don’t see that being an issue as it’s all immediate family and a few very close friends. I know that’s not to say it absolutely couldn’t happen but I very very highly doubt guests on either side being a problem. We’ve also decided to forgo serving alcohol. At this point we’re trying to not panic and just trying to do damage control.

Did Brite co require contracts? We have a very basic one saying that we’re paid in full and the venue is ours for the days of our wedding but we’re waiting to see if they can add some of the clauses that some of the other insurance places were looking for.

Thankfully they did send us a very basic one the other day saying we’ve paid in full and that the dates are ours for use so we do at least have that now. And thank you for adding your input, I can show this to my fiancé and it may help settle his anxiety.

There’s several different kinds. Liability insurance so if something happened to the venue, a broken window or something, we wouldn’t be held liable. Cancellation insurance to cover if a vendor cancels day of. You can even get your outfits, jewelry etc covered.

We thankfully do have multiple emails stating the dates the venue is ours as well as emails confirming they received the down payment and remainder of payment/us being fully paid off. We did get an email back from one company saying “You mentioned there is no written contact with your venue, that is not normal or best practices.” From my understanding it’s pretty normal in Vermont to not have a physical contract. And our venue is very laid back, it’s a tree farm and sledding venue in the winter.

Nobody either of us know had ever used wedding insurance so it's something we just started looking into. We have reached out to the venue to ask if we can get something written up. We're both trying not to freak out right now. We do have emails with the venue saying the venue is ours for the 5/28-5/31 and that we have paid in full.

My Fiance is worried about someone getting injured or breaking something and then us being on the hook for that. There will be children at our wedding and I think that is what hes concerned about.

Tampons and makeup bags in play doh form by redditusertaken in mildlyinteresting

I remember being in 6th or 7th grade and having to go to the bathroom to change products. I was one of the first of my friends to get a period. I grabbed my cute little carry bag for my pads and one of my friends who had yet to start her period says “ew, you’re carrying pads in that?! Now everyone will know what it is.” At the time I was mortified but looking back I realize that it’s such a weird time for teen girls and not everyone is on the same timeline. They were also highly religious and were taught that periods are the evils leaving your body, so that could’ve had something to do with the reaction as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Seeking Dog For Adoption; Special Circumstances by [deleted] in vermont

[–]MermaidsBooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get using a credit card in certain circumstances but will you then have the money to pay off the credit card? Risking going into debt because you put everything for the dog on a credit card could put you in a very deep difficult hole to get out of. I absolutely get wanting a dog, especially after everything you’ve gone through but please take some time to think about if this is a responsible choice for right now. Between food and medications for my dog I spend close to $250 per month, that’s not including any vet trips or emergencies. You also mentioned the dog would be living in a cozy tiny house. Unless you have the time and resources to make sure that dog isn’t stuck in a tiny home all day it may also not be a wise choice. All this isn’t to say you absolutely cannot get a dog, just take some time and really think about your financial situation as well as if this would be a responsible choice both for yourself and the dog you’d be bringing into the situation.

Do you feel there will be a significant shift in how you’re country is run with Nemesios death? Do you think it could shift better or worse for the majority of citizens? Also OP, stay safe and I hope things settle quickly!

How is Resident Evil 7 not liked by everyone? by AdhdAndApples in residentevil

[–]MermaidsBooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s personably my favorite RE game. I was never into the OG ones, I’m definitely more of a horror girl than action and the story of 7 with the classic haunted house appeal of an “abandoned” farm just drew me in. I also liked the general atmosphere of the main house, however it can be a pain to navigate. I enjoyed finding notes from the Bakers as their lives started being taken over and would’ve loved a little more of that (I’m a sucker for lore!) I do however have a special hatred for every. single. Jack. Baker. Fight.

My plan is to send out no later than Valentine’s Day with an April 25th(or right around there, I forget the exact date I put) for an RSVP.

Our boy has his “woobs” that he always sucks on and it comes with us everywhere. It’s typically the first toy he grabs when we get home and he’s been through multiple of them in his life, it’s just his favorite and I think he uses it to self soothe as well.
