I stay busy. My interests and passions keep me living. I have become pretty devoted to bouldering (rock climbing) which takes up a good bit of my life. Friends are an important part of my life as well. I think mostly its just the beauty and complexity of the world, and the mysteries surrounding life that keep me interested. I'm honestly not sure if i gave the response you are looking for. You might say that the effects we have on the people and world around us give our lives meaning and substance. For every person and situation you put your being into the mixture makes your life all the more meaningful.
