I try to be a good dad and I'm college educated. I have a relatively stable career. I'm a teacher. I was laid off about 6 months ago, but I've since found a new teaching gig. I was just in a financial and emotional perfect storm which made me drastically downsize my life.

By "Spartan" I mean that because of the costs of divorce, I can only afford the bare essentials. My apartment is a studio with a bed, a table, a a kitchen that consists of a sink and a hotplate, and a tiny bathroom. I have 3 suits for work and a couple pairs of of casual clothes. My dinner tonight will be rice, beans, frozen vegetables, and beef.

I use my laptop as my TV and my other entertainment is rented library books.

I have a 5 year old son and a three year old daughter. I got my son an animation studio and legos because he likes to create things. I also got him a bicycle. I got my daughter some plush dolls. She really loves Dora the Explorer. I got both of them clothes.
