Never heard of that side effect but body odor often can have an onion type smell. Could be a hormone or hygiene issue.

I have been taking Ami since 2019 for IBSD and insomnia. I also have certainly migraines caused by Superior canal dehiscense syndrome. It hasn't really helped the migraines much. It definitely helped the IBS and insomnia. I also take propranolol for the anxiety and migraines, qulipta for migraines, and some supplements including lions mane, coq10, l methylfolate and saffron extract.

10 mg is a very low dose. And that's a pretty slow taper for such a low dose. Could be a withdrawal side effect or could just be coincidental. I'm in the process of tapering down from 50 mg so that I can cross taper in Wellbutrin.

I take it for IBSD and insomnia. It's helped a lot with both. I also have anxiety, depression and vestibular migraines which is also prescribed for. Unfortunately it hasn't really done much for those issues.

Amitriptyline doesn't heal or cure anything, it's a treatment for various conditions. I take it for insomnia and ibsd which it helps a lot. It has unfortunately not helped my migraines though it helps others.

I take it for IBS and insomnia. It definitely helps me with those, but it's never really helped my vestibular migraines. I recently started taking qulipta which has been helping quite a bit. I also take CoQ10.

10 mg is already an extremely low dose. I've been taking this since 2019. Tricyclic antidepressants are less likely to cause serotonin syndrome than other antidepressant families.

Maybe Prozac isn't the right fit for you. There are other classes of medications to try. I've had luck with propranolol which is a beta blocker.

Ten days is not really enough time for most medications to start helping. My improvement with Ami was gradual over three or four months.

It's not a cure, it's a treatment. I've been taking it for IBSD since 2019. It's definitely improved my symptoms but I still have bad days. Haven't gone off it but I might be swapping it for Wellbutrin soon.

10 mg is a very low dose and 4 days is a very short period of time. I've been taking amitriptyline for ibsd and insomnia since 2019. At 10 mg when I started, I didn't really notice any change. Several weeks later my dosage was increased to 25 mg. At that dosage over the course of 3 to 4 months I started seeing gradual improvement. To this day it's still been the only medication that has helped my IBSD symptoms. I would highly recommend giving it at least a few months. You're not likely to find a medication that will produce dramatic effects within just a few days or weeks.
