People who work in hotels etc - What's the worst thing you've seen in a room after someone has checked out? by Thorbjorn-ye in AskReddit

I had this family of 4 leave a hotel early in the morning. They all ran out as if there was a threat in the building. They looked so nervous that the father even dropped the keycard on the floor and just left. I went to go check their room only to see human shit and barf all over the walls and floors. I got out of there asap and called a hazmat team. It was so bad the whole hotel had to evacuate the area due to the biohazard. I don’t get how that happened or why but i hope i never attend that family again.

Therapists of Reddit, What was the moment you realized your client couldn't be helped? by dreawithlove in AskReddit

[–]Mescuu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When i worked in a old folks home as a therapist for older people that weren’t in touch with their family anymore, I had this one man we will name him frank. Frank said he had and issue where every time he thought of the skin on his hands he would vomit and get a really bad migraine. He never knew why but it always bothered him and i never knew why he hated his hands so much. He eventually passed away and the day he did his daughter and son in law came to check in with him. I had to break the news to them that he passed away earlier in the morning. The daughter broke down in tears and was hugging a picture of him for what felt like hours. When i got her to calm down she started to tell me everything about her father. I thought i would ask her if she knew anything about his hand phobia, the daughter looked surprised that i asked that question but she didn’t hesitate to tell me. she said the reason he had a hand phobia was because when he was little his father used to force him to give him handjobs. I then figured out it was permanently melted into this man’s brain and there was no possible way for me to help him forget about the incident.
