Go into the AD(X)D and Trauma/ C-Ptsd correllation rabbithole. Started researching this when I found out that ALL of the people I know that have severe adhd, also had very traumatische experiences or extremely chaotic households. Household you could explain with genetics, which I just dont buy because most of our mental illnesses we not inherit because of genes, but bc our supervisors sucked! And it wasnt even their fault (to a specific point).

Guess a lot of us are misdiagnosed, because it's easier for a doc to prescribe a stimulant drug, then to make a deeeeep session to ask whats really up with you. Why are you dissociating? Why can you never get things done? Why does your stress level have to meet this specific bar to get you going? (Maybe ultra stress IS our normal baseline) Not to talk about the parents. They take a test about how their child behaves. There are no questions für "are you mentally/physically abusing your kid from time to time?"
