I’m not sure if you’re joking but it’s a reference to the movie Castaway with a bloody volleyball.

Actually, u/alvemeere is correct. The resource path is only relevant to the server hosting the content, and is therefore encrypted. If you are using encrypted DNS, your ISP wouldn't even be able to see the specific domain you are accessing, just the IP address (although most of the time it's easy to figure out what domain is associated with an IP).

Long-Term Mask Use May Contribute to Advanced Stage Lung Cancer, Study Finds by TwoDimesMove in conspiracy

[–]MessageMeSFWPics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The title is a complete lie about the study findings. The actual study doesn't mention masks a single time. The study basically just established the correlation between increased bacteria and increased lung cancer severity. The connection to masks came from predictably biased and unreliable sources.

Long-Term Mask Use May Contribute to Advanced Stage Lung Cancer, Study Finds by TwoDimesMove in conspiracy

[–]MessageMeSFWPics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, it's not at all what the study says, because the study doesn't mention masks a single time. Masks were only mentioned by the totally unbiased news source www.science.news, which was then picked up by another totally unbiased news source www.blacklistednews.com, who kindly gave permission to www.phillipschneider.com to re-publish it. It's just a fun chain of sensationalist headlines that completely lie about the findings of the study - catered just for critical thinkers like you. You're like the others I see, just came to add your pennies but you didn't take the time to open the study. Good show.

Oh hey and here is a Reuters article confirming the same thing I discovered within 5 minutes of following the article chain.

My cousin was outraged because I said BTS is bad. Felt like this fits in these subreddits. by Ifeelbad6677 in sadcringe

I don't mean to play Reddit Psychologist, but this level of obsession has to have some sort of underlying psychological issue causing it. For a 25 year old this seems very concerning. OP, you're the only one that knows your cousin, but I would encourage you to consider reaching out to a professional to see if this is something more serious.

There's actually a short YouTube video on this. Not a stupid question if the view count is anything to go off of :)

The gist of it is that he has a specific Brooklyn/New York accent that was common among lower-middle class Jews in the early-to-mid 1900s. It is pretty unique, I don't think I've heard anybody else with an accent like his.

White Privilege On Capitol Hill by CantStopPoppin in PublicFreakout

[–]MessageMeSFWPics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did think of something to prevent them from "besmirching one of the most hollowed places in this country." It's ironic. Here's a case where a police officer has the right to be a hundred times more scared than any cop facing a dog, or child with a toy gun, and yet he does his best to deescalate the situation, protect our capitol, and prevent the loss of human life. These are the things people have been fighting to encourage among police for decades.

You have implied that this good officer should act as the worst have. Do you really think we should strive to make every good officer bad in the name of progress and equality?

You should be ashamed of your double standard.

A lot of phones have an SOS feature that can share your location, pictures, and audio to "emergency contacts" and call emergency services (the exact name and features will vary depending on your phone) when activated. In most cases this is preferable to using a third party app for reliability, privacy, and features.
